Tonight’s event was held for the sponsors, media and friends of the Feastival. Besides the mingling and enjoying each others company, it’s a rally to drum up support in an effort to sell tickets, buy ads for the book that is distributed to the 500+ people that will descend on Pier 9 September 14, 2011 for this worthwhile event.

Dr. Steven Larson, Assistant Dean for Global Health Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and a physician who focuses on the social support of immigrants and under-served populations in hopes of improving their health outcomes. Currently he is working on a project that Audrey Taichman is involved with which is Dr. Larson has focused his efforts on Puentes de Salud, a free clinic in south Philadelphia he founded in 2002 to address the needs of a rapidly growing Latino population. and Dr Olan Soremekun, Asst. Philadelphia Magazine is also on board as FEASTIVAL’s Media Partner and spotted at the party were Executive Tom McGrath and David Lipson, Philadelphia magazine/Metrocorp president. , which I just returned to last week with a column once a week, and 2 – 3 “One Shots” through out the week. I’m really excited about the “One Shots”, whether it’s a celebrity, Philly Phamous or you, you’ll find those shots on at random times through out the week.
