Santa was on hand to hear Bruce and Michelle Shannon‘s list for Christmas as the Cashman Girls controlled the list to
see who was naughty or nice to gain entry. (2019 will be their 20th Anniversary – Congrats Nicole Cashman & Assocs.)

Striped Sequin Dress were popular with the ladies including Kristin Detterline and Thanuja Hamilton. Look for The Sleep Doctor
to be on Dr. Oz again in January, after just having taped another segment last week. During the soiree NBC10’s Rosemary Connor’s snuck out to catch Steve Carell and Robert Zemeckis new film ‘Welcome to Marwen’ at the Ritz at the Bourse.  Later in the evening Steve Carell joined party goers for the afterparty at the Ritz, as well as a bite to eat at Aqimero posing with Melissa Leonard and Jenna Gyger.

Looking for somewhere to dine on Christmas Eve

On December 24th join Aqimero for a joyful holiday celebration. Indulge in our specialty four-course menu, featuring specialties from our wood-burning grill while enjoying the spectacular views of beautiful décor of the lobby and The Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia.

Partners in Crime: Sidney Grimes, Louie Louie, the new restaurant at the Inn at Penn and Michele VanNostran, Starr Restaurants. The duo told me stories about
Sidney’s annual holiday theme party “Wigs and Turtle Necks” where all guests came dressed as such. Sounds like a blast!

A.J. Marsico and Annie McCormick , 6ABC. Annie has a book coming out shortly called The Doctor, The Hitman and the Motorcycle Gang which will deal with the murder of April Kauffman, a New Jersey radio personality who was shot to death in her home in May 2012. When someone says I wore these festive earrings just for you, you take notice. Thanks Whitney Ulmann, Atlantic City’s answer to PhillyChitChat. You can catch her most weeks on Fox 29 giving us the low down on events Down The Shore by Go Whitney. That’s her sister Margo Pisnoy

Congrats to Alexander Hankin for his first article in the December PhillyStyleMagazine. He’s been writing about art for awhile online, but this month he’s in print. Wearing winter white and looking stunning is Vasiliki Tsiouris, co owner of Craftsman’s Row, Opa and Drury Bar. Not a good year for their Sansom Street eateries after the summer water main break a block away. The new year is looking as bright as winter white. Go check out the Drury Beer Garden @ Opa all festive this holiday.

Steve Circelli and Maureen Dellisanti tells me her favorite Christmas tradition is playing “Hide the Pickle.”  I had to look that one up:
A decoration in the shape of a pickle is hidden on a Christmas tree, with the finder receiving either a reward or good fortune for the following year.

David Alexander Jenkins tops off his unique sense of fashion with a hat

Kristin Detterline, Andrew Smith and Dr. Nina Radcliff – crop tops are all the rage this holiday season.

Brittney Shipp tells me she makes grandma’s Gumbo recipe at Christmas and it reminds her of her childhood celebrations with the family, whereas Christmas doesn’t start for Jacqueline London to she makes her Gingerbread House. She doesn’t eat it, but it’s very welcoming.

On November 30, 2017, Thuzio members, their guests and supporters of the Claude Giroux Foundation gathered at Cescaphe Ballroom for a Casino themed night in support of a great cause.

Thuzio

Guests tried their luck playing traditional casino games and bidding on silent and live auction items. Claude Giroux mingled with guests and was joined by 6-8 of his Flyers teammates and other local philadelphia celebs/athletes such as Vince Papale, Freddie Mitchell, Todd Herremans, Brian Propp, Riley Cote, Justin Perillo amongst others.

The Claude Giroux Foundation, established in 2014, supports various organizations who better the lives of individuals and families in need throughout the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Hearst, Ontario communities. Originally from Hearst, Ontario, Giroux announced in October of 2010 that he had chosen to associate himself with the Notre-Dame Hospital Foundation in Hearst. “I think it’s a good cause and a lot of people back home are putting a lot of time into it, so it should be a pretty good site for fans visit,” said Giroux.

The partners of the foundation then decided to join forces and first raise funds for the construction of a new physiotherapy and rehabilitation centre named, the Claude-Giroux Centre. “The construction of the new Centre Claude-Giroux Centre is a big project with an estimated cost of around $700,000. We hope this website will prove to be an excellent and innovative way to raise funds for this project”, declared France Dallaire, member of the Foundation and CEO of the Notre-Dame Hospital.

AC Moore: Arts and Crafts Stores is Coming to Center City, Hillary Clinton, Ivanka Trump, Babies & Winners

Good afternoon, it’s Thursday and time for our regularly schedule Philly Gossip session. Oh boy game changer, well if you’re into arts and crafts, and DIY, good news, unless your Blik up the street, everyone’s favorite arts & crafts store is coming to CENTER CITY

AC Moore

I hear AC Moore: Arts and Crafts Stores is Coming to Center City and setting shop where the recently closed FYE Record store
was located at Broad and Chestnut Streets. I’ve been by the store, the brown paper wrapping is up and work is underway.

Philly.com wrote more on the AC Moore story on Friday here.

Yesterday Kevin Hart was tired after he popped into 3 preview screenings of his new film “Kevin Hart: What Now?”. He started the day in NYC, then popped
into Philly, where he filmed the stand up comedian routine at the Linc last summer, at the United Riverview Theater, then drove down to DC and
surprised movie goers there. In Philly he walked the red carpet, then addressed the fans inside the theater. He’s got some serious security eh

AC Moore

Congrats to the Philly born comedian, who got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame earlier this week.

Congrats to Marilyn. Some people know that I used Marilyn to help me make a career decision. She told me not to take a job, cause the job I wanted would come to me and give me an offer. I said no I don’t think they will, but I listen to her and w/i two months they said job came to me.AC Moore

I ran into Jen Groover at the new eatery Harp & Crown on Tuesday night, and she reminded me of her new project. I’m going to go cause even though I am in the middle
of my “start up” business, an organization like Jump Start Start Up didn’t exist. Jen reminded me of a conversation we had last year we had about this very thing. When I started my
company, I learned all I thought I needed to know from the internet, and I made mistakes. Especially branding mistakes.

Imagine you can walk into a store and go station to station and get all the things you need in one play to lay a solid foundation for your business to grow? Now you can! JumpStart StartUp is a turn-key solution for small business owners to take the guess work out of what the best business services are to use because we have done the research….and negotiating for you!

Our mission is to accelerate the pace of growth for small businesses to get started and to scale to stimulate the economy and innovation through entrepreneurship.

This event is FREE and open to the public thanks to our sponsors!

Philly Gossip: Goodbye Brittney Shipp, Alycia Lane Announcement, Shady McCoy and Gamble Celebration

Happy Monday Morning. I’m sure you all have you’re Golden Globe glow on after last nights show. Hopefully that is the last we see of Ricky Gervais forever.

https://www.instagram.com/phillychitchat/

He was nearly as offensive as Mel Gibson has been, and several of his jokes were about Mel who was a presenter last night, which made no sense.

After the show I watched NBC10 News for the latest on Philly News, with my gals Denise Nakano and Brittney Shipp. OMG it was Brittney’s last night in Philly. ‘Sunday marked the final forecast for NBC10’s Brittney Shipp. After
spending three years with our First Alert Weather team,

Brittney is
moving on to start a new journey in San Francisco where she’ll work as
the main weekday night meteorologist for KRON-TV.’ (NBC10 Philadelphia) Saturday night NBC10 family said good bye to Brittney at a party at Del Frisco’s in Center City. All her favs were there Jacqueline London, Keith Jones, Anzio Williams and Rosemary Connors.

Speaking of Rosemary Connors, I spotted her, hubby Ben, LuAnn Cahn, and her hubby Phil at the new southern eaterly in Old City, Little Lion on Friday night. That’s Rosemary in the pink on the left. The place was packed. I was headed upstairs to attend QVC’s Erin Elmore’s birthday party. It was great. I’ll have photos of her party tomorrow.
Christmas was such a blur as you know, and I forgot to post this awesome shot from former CBS3’s anchorwomen Alycia Lane and her family’s annual Christmas photo where they all dress in matching PJ’s including the dog. Well, Alycia told her friends last week that

baby makes four. A little brother will join big sister Averie, born in June 2014, in June 2016.
Congrats to Kenny Gamble (The Father of the Philadelphia Sound) and Dyana R. Williams (Legendary mistress of music –  “Soulful Sunday” on 100.3 and celebrity strategist) celebrated their grandchild, Luke Gamble‘s first birthday on Saturday. Luke is the child of their son Caliph Gamble and his lovely wife, Deana Gamble.

Congrats to Katelyn and Dan DeLiberty on the birth of their baby girl last week. The baby was due at Christmas time, but took her time in making her debut for mom and dad, who just celebrated their first anniversary  November 15, 2015.

The Santana family let their loved ones know they were expected a baby girl in may at their gender reveal party on Saturday. These parties are so much fun, and seem to be all the rage lately.
Google is developing a talk show like “The View'” and our very own Jen Groover, entrepreneur and life coach, just got cast to co-host. Can’t wait.

Congrats to my former photo editor at Philly.com Steph Aaronson who was laid off December 4 and has landed as photo editor at the Wall Street Journal.

Former Mob Wives star Alicia DiMichele was at the Philadelphia 76ers-Cleveland Cavaliers game and ran into Shady McCoy who was wearing a Cleveland Indians hat. I’m sure none of the Philly’s fans picked a fight with him.

Congrats to David Deven, General Director and President of Opera Philadelphia on his 10th anniversary at the helm. Up next for Opera Philadelphia is Cold Mountain which opens 2/5/16

Tim Quirino co-founded Geekadelphia & The Philly Geek Awards, lives in San Francisco and came across the production of the Full House Reunion, which is being shot for Netfliks. Set in San Francisco, it’s great to see the “Full House” house is being used for the new movie too. The Full House is party of the “Painted Ladies” in San Francisco, made famous by the 1990s TV show.

Will there really be a Real Housewives of Philly?

The Gilmore Girls are coming to Netfliks on Oct 1. Now that’s a must see.

Take Vulture’s Gilmore Girls Superfan Quiz

Over the past few weeks the lovely ladies of Philadelphia have been telling me that “The Real Housewives” franchise has been contacting them to see if they would audition for the show. This has happened several times before and nothing came to fruition, but this time there might be something to it as I would discover.

It turns out that the maybe the Philadelphia franchise won’t be a real housewives project per se, more of a women in business reality TV. So if you’re self employed, independently wealthy, making things happen, just getting started and willing to put your life on display, this is your show.
I have a little advice for the ladies….(some of whom have been asked, some haven’t, some I’ve left off as they just can’t do it cause there’s no deleting a gotcha statement on TV.)

Being fairly wealthy or having a sugar daddy (I’m looking at you so many housewives but Nene comes to mind) might help, you have to go to all those parties and wear so many outfits.
Maria Papadakis and Sabrina Tamburino are two of the young Real Housewives always mentioned when these show’s come to town. Neither one are going to do it, but should. I remember going to NYC to pick out a dress for Maria and she could have been on that dress show hot or not or something like that, but she was not willing to have a public disagreement with her mom or friends for TV.
It’s not a good idea to take loans out to pretend your rich, or skip on paying your taxes like say the alleged charges against Teresa Giudice, but after she gets out of jail she can reinvent her life. (I took this shot at a wedding expo last year of all places.)

Gogo Morrow is perfect for the show – she’s on the brink of stardom and this will get her over the hill quicker than say Danity Kane.

Flair: Sarah Doheny, YUBr , she knows a thing about reality tv after working with Bam Margera on his wedding for MTV.

Maybe your a beautiful model, spokesperson like Kharisma McIlwaine.

Jill Rizen, stylish, confident and says what’s on her mind in the nicest way.
Erin Elmore, lives in a penthouse overlooking the square and her son’s name is Royce. She’s a QVC personality, and she was on Donald Trump’s Apprentice show. Her friends are the socialites of Rittenhouse Square. I’d have to add Kristin Foote (r) as a potential castmate. She’s in real estate with an office on Rittenhouse Square. She knows where the skeleton’s are buried. She holds court at Rouge.

Susan Helfich, she runs celebrity cruises, no really with celebrities. She also goes to Sundance and Cannes film festivals.
Amber G. stylish, hot husband, married in Newport RI and sweet with an iron fist successful.

Christie Honigman, The Honigman Group. Successful, beautiful, well connected and tough as nails. “Don’t Mess With Me Fellas.”

Lisa Moreno-Dickinson,C.A.I.D Foundation and Jen Groover, entrepeneur. These two are succeeding in a man’s world. They played to win, you’ll never see them sweat.

PHILLY’S FORMER “Mob Wives” star, Alicia DiMichele, owns two clothing stores and runs in a colorful crowd – here she is with  Natalie Merlino. I’d like to see her back on TV with her take no prisoners attitude, and popular personality. She has a lot of engagement with her fans.
Dana Spain, founder of the Pennsylvania Animal Welfare Society (PAWS). Recently she’s been delving into real estate as a developer. She’s a no nonsense, straight to the point lady, reasonable but pulls no punches. We’d learn a lot about life and business from her.

Tim Adams, co owner of Penn 6 (r), everyone needs a gay best friend and he’s hysterical.

Atlanta born Amber Hikes, founder of Philly’s Stimulus parties, the hot monthly lesbian soirees. She’s also chair of the William Way Center‘s resource development committee, a member of the Philly Dyke March planning committee, and in 2013 was honored after being named grand marshall of Philly’s Pride parade.

Beth Shak (L): We’d finally get a chance to check out those shoes worth a million bucks.

Oh wait there’s Erin Elmore (r) again, have these two ever had a cat fight?

Reality Show alumni Dom Streater  the winner of Project Runway season 12, she’s making her way up the velvet ladder. She just presented at NYFW Spring 2015, and is working on her Fall 2015. She’s a chameleon, every time I see her it’s a different look, personality, she’s finding her way. She’d be perfect for a reality show, maybe one of her own too.
I hear Will Smith’s sister Ellen Smith, (c) and Terri Matthews, Jaden’s Voice (r) might be on this show. Here the two women are at Nicole Miller’s XIX Most Fashionable Women. If you click on the title it will take you to the column on Philly Mag where you will find another women who will be on the show. The first person to guess right in the comments I will give you a pair of tickets to Mike Jerrick’s Ya Gotta Try this event on October 2.
