ST. PATRICK DAY PARTY WEEKEND benefits for Project H.O.M.E. and City of Hope

Friday night I attended the 27th Annual Muldoon’s Saloon to Benefit Project H.O.M.E. and I must confess I never heard about the other 26th annual events, but when I heard it was for Project HOME I had to cover it. I am a HUGE Sr. Mary Scullion fan and will do anything I can to promote her charity (besides my annual contribution)

It was held at The Boathouse Row Bar, in the Rittenhouse Hotel Here are two of my favorite people in Philadelphia Sr. Mary Scullion and if you are a long time reader of Philly Chit Chat you know who hair that isWanda Paul (PCVB), Sr. Mary Scullion and Ferey Don Absesajctu (ok I may have butchered that last name) I did pick up a good tip from the Philly Magazine photographer, who brings a pad and has the subject write down their name and phone number. (The phone number for verification on the spelling)
John B. Kelly, III, PNC Capital, David Marshall owner Rittenhouse Hotel and Sr. Mary Scullion of Project H.O.M.E.
Father McNamee, St. Malachy Roman Catholic Church and Councilman James KenneyChris Mullins, Bill Gehrman, Sarah Hines and Patti Spanol enjoy the festivities (DON’T FORGET TO STOP BY http://www.mcgillins.com/ 1310 Drury St, you won’t regret it, but don’t take my word, how about these folks – http://www.yelp.com/biz/mcgillins-old-ale-house-philadelphia ) As I make my way through the events I cover in Philly I see a common thread, which is awesome, because not only do I love covering these events, giving the chairites the publicity they need, but I get to run into some of the same nice people that I normally would never have met before I got into event/press photography: This event was for the Hospitality Crowd of Philadelphia which is why I saw Nick Corsano of Navigaytor, PR Patti Klein and Mark Beyerl
Last year PR person Karen Spiro (http://www.eventures.net/) had a party where I met Thom Cardwell who was instrumental in helping me meet the right people, attend the right parties and understand Philadelphia nightlife (for lack of a better word) and tonight she introduced me to my other idol, Society Columnist David Iams (I think I made him blush as I recalled his columns in the Inquirer). Karen Spiro understands what I am trying to do for Philadelphia.
Sr. Mary and Mayor Michael NutterRegina gets waited on by Mayor Nutter, who can pour a mean glass of wineDavid Iam’s tickles the ivory and gets into the spiritsDavid Marshall and Fr. McNamee author of “Diary of a City Priest.”
My girlfriend Where Magazine Publisher, Laura Burkhardt sporting her new ‘do (I just saw her last night and she looks as fantastic as ever. I know she goes to many more events than I do, and I don’t know how she still looks so fantastic. Does she have a picture of Dorian Gray in the closet?) with her is James Zeleniak of Punch Media PR. Looking forward to meeting the International President of Rum next month at an event he is having with Thom Cardwell at the Rum Bar at 2020 Walnut Street.
The celebrity bartender crew David Marshall, Sr. Mary, Mayor Nutter, David Benton, ? yike opps help me out someone, and John Kelly III (This event was also sponsored by The Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau (PCVB), a private non-profit membership corporation, is the official Tourism Promotion Agency for the City of Philadelphia, and the primary sales and marketing agency for the Pennsylvania Convention Center. – Thanks for the invitation)

If that wasn’t enough for a fantastic event, Saturday night I went to the BUCKmonkey (queertimes.com [Thom Cardwell * James Duggan]) and Kildare’s “Kiss Me I’m Gay” party down on 2nd Street to benefit City of Hope. http://www.cityofhope.org/home.htm

Over 200 members of the GLBT and their friends packed the upstairs of Kildare’s. A bacherlote party that was going on in an adjoining room join in on the fun and brought a friend that brought the party to a whole new level – Here’s Stephen and the bride to be (It’s hard to imagine a penis and my idol Sr. Mary on the same page, but I’m going with the St. Patricks theme here)Priceless reaction George, Mark & Steve
Michael B and Judge Dan

There was a little Pulp Fiction dancing going on with Thom Cardwell and Mary Patel

Nick who I saw last night at the Muldoon’s Saloon, lets down his hair while dancing up a storm with Thom and Joe.
I love the guy on the left who has completely let down his hair
When I asked these girls their ages, they told me they were carded at the front door, whipped out their id’s that stated they were all 26. The funny thing they all had the same name, sorta like George Forman’s kids I guess? Nah that’s not true, but I am sure they were carded, I was, but do they really look 26?

The dancing queens young and sweet only …About midnight I called it a night, I think the guy on the right called it a night about an hour before to see more photos of “Kiss Me I’m Gay” check out http://buckmonkey.blogspot.com/

As seen on Walnut Street on my way home. Should I send this to Rittenhouse Magazine, which is on stands now. This month marks my debut featuring some of my photos that I took in the Rittenhouse area. Happy St. Patricks Day, see you at McGillians on Monday!!
