Blue Plate Special: Turn PA Blue by 2020
A group of Philly’s top chefs and Democratic state house and senate candidates teamed up to help turn Pennsylvania blue in the next few elections. On the evening of Monday, September 17th, around 40 of the city’s best chefs, distillers, restaurateurs, and food artisans took over the Franklin Institute for Blue Plate Special, a culinary celebration and fundraiser benefiting the PA Blue Victory Fund.

“We want to make an impact on local, state and congressional elections and ultimately in the 2020 presidential,” said Steve Poses, who urged people to stop yelling at their TV and instead go out and do something whether it’s voting, canvassing, or registering people to vote, in order to turn Pennsylvania from Red To Blue!!

Pennsylvania offers online voter registration. You can register to vote by mail in Pennsylvania by printing a copy of the National Voter Registration Form, filling it out, and mailing it to your local election office. You can also register to vote in person if you prefer.

The funds raised will be used to boost voter turnout in November’s key midterm elections and support under-funded candidates and grassroots organizations in southeastern Pennsylvania through the next presidential election in 2020.
