7th Annual Pimp & Ho Party for PAWS: Selective Service

Saturday night was Dana Spain‘s annual Pimp and Ho party to raise money for PAWS, an organization she founded to assist our furry friends (PAWS is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving
Philadelphia’s homeless, abandoned, and unwanted animals. PAWS is the
city’s largest no-kill shelter and operates a high-volume, low-cost
clinic serving pet owners and rescue organizations that lack access to
affordable basic veterinary care. Through its adoption locations,
special events, and foster care network, PAWS finds loving homes for
thousands of animals each year. PAWS is working to make Philadelphia a
place where every healthy and treatable pet is guaranteed a home.)

We also gathered to wish Captain Eric Cahill good will on his mission as he is shipping out on a top secret mission on Saturday.  (the theme of the night was military dress.)

The evening was really more service oriented and charity minded with everyone looking dashing Carol Drumstas, Brown Forman, Steve Rockman, Teresa Nino, Merril Lynch and Christie Honigman, The Honigman Group.

Mom Joan Spain and Renee Freeman co founder of Donors are Heroes bringing awareness to donor donation brought their hoses and their husbands.
Steve Thorne, Lauren and John Colabelli, Philly Style Magazine and Sabrina Tamburino-Thorne (I have a feeling those outfits might be part of their arsenal)
City Hall’s Holly Maher Gross and Philadelphia Daily News Gossip god Dan Gross
There was food by Brûlée Catering, delicious and pretty
Brûlée Catering: Executive Chef  Matthew Levin, guest, Larry Cohen, co-founder & owner of GuestCounts Hospitality and Executive Chef Jasper Alivia
There was music by DJ Ben Ja Styles
Did I mention everyone was dressed in uniforms? (Well except for one person dressed in scrubs, and the other hot mama dressed in Victoria Secrets lingerie.) Political Power Children: Dana and Ron Donatucci, with Diane Johnson and Christian DiCicco (BTW I love that Christian got the http://myphillybankruptcylawyer.com/about.htm website. Now that’s a name to remember.)
Denethia Durgin and Al Pough (He’s a trainer at Philadelphia Sporting Club)
Philanthropists Evan and Lynsie Solomon
Dance, dance, dance, dance – so much fun for a good cause.
God speed good friend who’s off to war next week.

9/11/12 Sunset From the Cira Center

I never saw or photographed the City from the Cira Center. WOW what a view. I was shooting an event for my client, United Way. I tried not to get to distracted, but was able to get a few shots in.

This was my favorite. Looks much better when it’s not resized.

National September 11 Memorial – Photos I’ve Taken

I lived in NYC between 2005 – 2007. I went to the Ground Zero ceremonies during the years I lived there, and the subsequent years when I was shooting NYFW.

This was the view from my bedroom at my apartment at 23rd and 8th Ave. (Now Katie Holmes lives across the street)
