SUZANNE ROBERTS THEATRE GALA
First I want to thank my faithful readers for checking in each day; sorry for the delay, I just got new carpeting and paint and the computer has been down. That hasn’t stopped me from attending a few events. On Monday Philadelphia rolled out the red carpet, for a huge event with the opening of the Suzanne Roberts Theatre Gala. 
Here is Suzanne and Ralph Roberts (I thought it would be rude for me to ask him to subsidize my Comcast Cable bill, but I should have thanked him for adding William Penn to the top of the new Comcast Building)

First Lady Midge, not one for posing, she’s a dignified judge. She looks terrific. No sign of the gov, I guess he was still nursing the Eagles loss from Sunday

Philly is styling it on the red carpet
Many of Philadelphia’s Phasionable of the Social Set made an appearance at the Gala. (Why doesn’t Philly have a social calendar like NYC)
And then the party continued inside (I find that the Red Carpet events in Philly, much nicer to the paparazzi’s than NYC. This week alone I have been fed twice, given gift bags and at this event had a chance to see the tribute show to Terrence McNally (on right). 
Thank you Philadelphia, I’m glad I moved back. And thanks to Debbie and crew at the Gala. Tomorrow I am going to NYC for a few events, so I will have to continue Monday with the shots from the cocktail party, show and after party.

Lorraine Bracco, actress and proprietor of Bracco Wines, will pour four Italian wines for tasting and sign bottles for customers from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 19, at the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board Premium Collection Wine & Spirits store, 1218 Chestnut St., Philadelphia.
Bracco, best known for her portrayal of Dr. Jennifer Melfi on the HBO series, “The Sopranos,” two years ago launched Bracco Wines, which selects and imports vintages from acclaimed wine regions across Italy. UPDATE OF THE SIGNING: I don’t know if Dr. Melfi was surprised about the amazing turnout of press to cover her at the signing, or by this guys flash umbrella that was more than adequate to cover anyone in a rainstorm, and quite often blocked my shots, but check out the shot of Lorraine when she first eyes the crowd. It’s a keeper…

It was just about a year ago from today that I saw Lorraine Bracco ride a segway at the DGA awards and fall on her arse and then 18 months ago when I saw her at a Soprano event where she refused to pose for me. What a difference a year and a City make. Sure she is hawking something, but I find that celebrities are just a little more friendly when they come to Philadelphia. PHLARE IS A PHUN MAGAZINE FOR PHILLY
I love it when people come up with cool names using the PH from Philly, like Phillies Phan and MY FAVORITE PHILEBRITY, now there’s a new magazine and website called Phlare. Ok I wish I came up with it. Phlare magazine is for Professional Women in Philly. www.phlaremagazine.com – OK I went to NYC to shoot an event, so this is all I will be writing today.
No, it’s not a new building
it’s a make-over of an old building. On my way to work this week I noticed a Zoning Sign on McCormick and Schmidt’s “decorative” window, located at One South Broad 
otherwise known as the PNB Building.
Not being satisfied with the signs that flank the entrances to the building
Wachovia has something else in mind
thats right, “remove the existing Four Signs that are on top of the building, replacing them with Two Worded Signs and Two Logo Signs that represent the existing bank inside the building”
Didn’t they try and do this before and it was struck down by the Historic Commission. Maybe they think Mayor Street could do some of his trickery right before he exits the Office.

SEPTA False Advertising…
SEPTA decided that they could make some money by selling the front of their building like they sell on the outsides of the busses. The zoning commission granted them the right to do so (idiots). Dunkin Donuts took the offer, unfortunately too many people are looking for coffee and a donut there to no avail… Source of confusion…
