I walked home in the rain after the Nicky Hilton event ’cause I was too cheap to take a cab 5 blocks (if it were 6 blocks I would have). Then Sunday & Monday I was sick for the first time in over a year. BummerThe Gourmet Dog Foodie opening on the 1800 block of Chestnut
Is beautiful inside
It’ll be somewhat self serveand gift boxes
I went to XIX at the Park Hyatt for lunch the other day. First of all the ambiance is awesome, the history of the room is awe inspiring, my company was great, Anna Iredale PR for the Bellevue and the lunch delicious. They have a $20 lunch which includes salad bar, relish bar and desserts. Plus one entry. My entree was steak, but the salad was great. I probably would just have been happy with that as the dressing was some ancient secret.
200 S Broad St Philadelphia, PA 19102-3803 (215) 893-7892Back in March 2009 I wrote that I had heard that The Ritz-Carlton would be having outdoor dining, which they began in May; they would be getting new signage for 10Arts, which they just installed
and they would get awnings with their name on it. I guess they worked everything out with the zoning folks cause all three are now adorning the building at 10 Ave of the Arts
Another one of those new road imprints that Brian Howard of The Philadelphia City paper was writing about last week.
Another chance to see why the excesses of life are bad for you
It wasn’t a sweet ending, the other day I went here and got a yogurt. The bill was $5.03 I should have taken the darn blueberry off, but I guess the $.03 adds up so I had to break a $10. Maybe she thought she would get the $.97 for a tip since it’s self serve. Just had to get that off my chest.
