Beef & Beer Fundraiser for Fairmount’s housewife/Mother, Community Volunteer, Friend Lisa Reed (WANTED Silent Auction Items)

Years ago before I got into the photography/paparazzi field I used to live a normal life, involved in community activities, volunteering for bake sales, seeing friends, that’s all changed now, but the other day I had a chance to visit my old life and to celebrate someone else’s new phase in their life – my friends Roland and Lisa Reed (& baby Rose) with friends Kate and Kathy from down the streetWhen I was a member of the Fairmount Civic Association, Lisa Reed volunteered on just about every committee, eventually settling on and successfully executing the entertainment committee. There were trips to New York, to Yard’s Brewery, to Reading, the kids art shows, plant swaps and a few more things. She was one of the biggest cheerleaders of the community, and why not, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree as she is the daughter of longtime residents of Fairmount Abel and Rose Marie Pasicnzyk, who are just as kind and dynamic.
(Fleur de Lys Lisa Reed’s new shop)The above piece began the Tuesday Sept 16, 2008 entry, but sadly in a years time we as a community are saddened by the sudden diagnosis of the young housewife, mother and business owner Lisa Reed having advanced lung cancer (Lisa never smoked). The community is coming together to raise funds to help with the finances of the Reed family.

This is very nice of you to write about Lisa. It's just a shock, especially after working at GSK for all those years, and then going out on her own to follow her dream and take care of young Rose.
Jennifer
I know it may not be much but I'll mail a copy of my novel to the address, maybe you can package it with some other things for the silent auction. xoxo

OMG – I had no idea she was sick…ur post just gave me chills.. so sad. she is an awesome person!!!
I hate this! Cancer sucks – what an awful story. However, this proves that breast cancer isn't the only cancer out there – we need research monies for other cancers too(including ovarian). My prayers are with Lisa & her family.
Thank you so much for sharing this HughE! I can't even begin to tell you how much Lisa means to so many people, not least of all me. We met when we were 14 years old and have been fast friends ever since. She's the kind of person who puts the 'love' in the City of Brotherly Love. I know this tremendous outpouring means a lot to her, Roland, Rosie, and Mr. & Mrs. Pasicznyk and her entire family. xxoo
I will send a few items over that you can group together as a package. Thanks for the post.
YUM I bet it's gonna be Yard's Brewery since they live in the neighborhood.
KellyAnn, I sent you info on my book via Twitter just now. I'm willing to donate 3 copies.
Also, please make sure that Lisa visits my latest project. It's a FREE 5-Day Cancer Video Boot Camp, called "Thriving With Cancer." I'm told that it changes the emotional moods of those touched by cancer, and that is the first step to beating cancer. Just visit http://www.thrivingwithcancer.com for more info.
Thanks,
Donald
