The Hair O Dog: Fashion Do’s, Don’t & Favorite Pictures
Last week in my Philly Mag column I touched on the fashion at the Hair O Dog, but today we’re going to take a closer look.
Many regard the Hair O Dog as the first big event of the 2012 social season. For some people this is the only event they will attend all year long as it has all the aspects of a great event. For the price of a ticket from $95 to $165+ guests were transformed into a fantasy night that only Cinderella could imagine. The dress was on a higher scale than most other public gala’s except perhaps the Academy Ball, which is this Saturday so look for those shots in Philly Mag next Monday.Lauren Pipari, Erica Soltoff and Jennifer Sherlock, Jenna Communications, Hair O Dog, created by Rob Molinaro (left) and Dan Cronin of Chorus Communications,
This year there are two charities that will benefit from the nights gala; THE GARDEN OF REFLECTION; Pennsylvania’s Official 9-11 Memorial, and FRIENDS ARE BY YOUR SIDE. Founded by celebrity stylist Martino Cartier, owner of Martino Cartier Salons, FRIENDS ARE BY YOUR SIDE is a network of salon owners and beauty industry experts united in a mission to ease the stress and pain felt by women battling cancer. With Rob – Carmen Tomassetti, CTO Entertainment and Dr. Erin Pusz.

Christine Jock was named “Queen O’ the Dog,” due to her battle against an aggressive form of Breast Cancer, causing her to undergo a double Mastectomy during her thirties as a single parent. Friends who nominated her after watching a local news broadcast said Christine did not allow her ongoing complications after the surgery deflate her self-esteem. Looking great with her lavish custom-made gown designed for her from the Aci Nae Boutique and a Skin Palette spray tan, Christine was escorted to the gala by Michael Camacho.
