Sports Sightings: Joe “Golden” Montana and Pat “The Bat” Burrell

Former Phillies great Pat “The Bat” Burrell is
in town for radio announcer for the Philadelphia Phillies Larry Andersen’s wedding. Last night he stopped at McGillin’s Olde Ale House, hopefully to have some of those delicious wings I love. Here he is with Gaby Gock, McGillin’s manager. Now about that wedding, I wonder where it is? No doubt a few Phillies will be on the loose tomorrow night.

Kudo’s to my bud cameraman Brad Berner and this reporter from NBC Philadelphia. Montana’s peeps said he wasn’t going to do any interviews, and the reporter was insistent and said he would just stand on the sidelines. Well it paid off and he got a 5 minute interview.

all new decor and trained staff making it a premium wine store. Ironically his office contacted me earlier in the day to be a judge for the holiday window displays on South Street. So dress them up I’ll be judging the last week in November. (Thanks to my bud Robert Drake for recomending me.)

His sister Carrie Casullo didn’t really know too much about Montana. She was here getting a Christmas gift for her boyfriend. A signed Joe “Cool” Montana Aviation bottle. Hope he’s not reading… Yes we have to think about Christmas now. It seems like just yesterday it was 100F!!
