Betsy HummelPresident of the Friends of Rittenhouse Square introduces the savior of Christmas Rittenhouse Square, John Dougherty, head of Local 98 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. It seems the regular sponsor of the tree decided over the summer not to sponsor it this year. Johnny Doc stepped up, got a tree for the park, plus his workers strung the lights in the Square. They do shine brillantly this year. Many more lighted balls fill the square, which I love. Can we keep them on til say Easter?
