Events & Tidbits: Kiehl’s Finds A Home, Walgreen’s Moves In, Joan Shepp Moves Out & Random Shots News

A few of these shots went out over my Instagram so if you follow me at PhillyChitChat you’ve seen them but I’ve added more info

Kiehl’s pushed out by the expansion has found a temporary home at The Shops of Liberty Place, but I’d say it looks like a great spot to permanently stay. It’s located at 16th and Chestnut Streets, and the entrance is right inside the upscale mall with the plethora of stores. (Thanks to Racked Philly for featuring my photo.)

Walgreen’s is finally moving forward with their threat to build a super, fancy upscale Walgreen’s in the old Border’s space at Broad and Chestnut Streets. I wrote about it here with the plans which include a sushi bar, grocery take out as well as the usual stuff shampoo and scripts.

Why is Liberty Two purple?  Maybe they were trying for red for women’s heart month and it didn’t work out. I wish someone would run a schedule of the colors that run on the buildings. They do it for the Empire State Building, so whenever anyone had a question they would know.

Replica Creative is running my photo exhibit until the end of the month. The photos are for sale too.

I stopped by Joan Shepp’s the other day. Next week they hold their

Scott and Donald hanging in the newly expanded men’s department at Joan Shepp’s. Coming to the store soon is the Dries Van Noten Menswear Collection.

I love the signs that Smith’s restaurant has in their window. Every Tuesday the restaurant hosts

Mike Missanelli from 97.5 The Fanatic hosts his radio show whenever the Flyers play home from 2 – 6PM. In the evening Sean Brace will DJ during the game, bringing down the play-by-play sound on breaks and in between periods and playing great music.

Congrats to my girls Christie Honigman, The Honigman Group, and Katie English, Kathleen English Communitcations for their appearance in Big Rube’s column in the Daily News on Monday. This was the party I wrote about last week that was sponsored by Philly Style Mag and sponsor partner Russian Standard® Vodka and was held at Zee Bar.

Nova Ice at 1508 Chestnut Street is going out of business; everything is 75% off.

The Sports Authority is selling a Raven’s Joe Flacco shirt.

Who knew LeSean McCoy reps a superior nutrition drink and they sell it as the grocery store at 21st and Chestnut

The window for the Gourmet Doggie store at 20th and Chestnut is adorable.

I love my team at Enterprise Car Rental. They are the best, especially when I need a car at the last minute. If you need a car for more than 3 hrs, it’s cheaper to rent one then use zip or car share.
Speaking of food, I had dinner the other night at
EAT A PITA. Just follow our 3 steps! Pick a protein, produce, and pour to make your perfect pocket.

128 S 12th St  Philadelphia,
The basics are $8; you can spend a bit more to get such proteins
as shrimp po’ boy (Which I had, it was delicious), salmon croquette, and lamb shawarma – which roasts
right behind the counter next to a rotisserie for chicken.  Check out the menu here
