Philadelphia

Watch me on CBS3 Sunday Night after the Emmy’s

as reporter Nicole Brewer reports on where celebrities eat when they come to Philly. Here’s Barry Manilow and his back up dancers on their way out of Ralph’s Italian Restaurant in South Philly, a few years back. I think it was my first celebrity shot, and appeared in Michael Klein’s Inqlings column in the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Yesterday: Kathleen D. Wilkinson, Chancellor, Philadelphia Bar Association and Award-Winning Actress, Producer welcomed Cancer Survivor Jill Eikenberry. Jill Eikenberry is perhaps best known for her portrayal of lawyer Ann Kelsey on NBC’s long-running hit series “L.A. Law,” She talked about playing a woman lawyer on
network television in a groundbreaking role, and life as a breast cancer survivor as well as an
activist for breast cancer research and early detection.
While in town yesterday she had lunch at Hip City Veg. She had the tofu salad, and also bought a wrap to eat on the train back to NYC. Jack Canfora’s new play Jericho will receive its New York premiere at 59E59 Theatres this fall, starring Jill Eikenberry. Performances begin Oct. 4 and continue through Nov. 3. The only cast member she sees or hears about on a regular basis is Susan Dey. Dey’s daughter, Sarah Dey-Hirshan, is her Pilates teacher in NYC.
