In celebration
of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Philadelphia Eagles join students
at Cayuga Elementary School for a special family literacy day to
celebrate the importance of reading and supporting childhood literacy at
home
Thanks to the NFL, every child will receive a $5 Reading
Certificate to use at the Scholastic Read & Rise Book Fair to help
them experience the joy of owning their own book to take home
mission of Scholastic Read & Rise Book Fairs is to help communities
rally behind literacy and help families foster the skills, attitudes
and behaviors that support children’s literacy development through fun,
literacy-based events. These and other activities planned for the week
of September 30 will get books into the hands of children and provide
helpful tips on ways to keep them active.
Designed
to tackle childhood obesity, NFL PLAY 60 is the NFL’s long-standing
commitment to health and fitness. Since the program was launched in
2007, the NFL has committed more than $250 million to youth health and
fitness through programming, grants and media time for PSAs.
