Philly Oscar Viewing Parties; photos from the PHS Red Carpet Celebration last night

Last night while a star studded crowd gathered in LA to celebrate the Academy Awards, Philadelphia celebrated the little golden man at several gatherings. I covered a cute little shindig at the Hard Rock Cafe for (where I have a column, link at the bottom), there was another great party at the Loews Hotel for Volunteers of America, Penn 6 celebrated with oysters, burgers, brews and a large screen TV and PhillyChitChat photographer Mike Hirata captured all the action at the Philadelphia Horticulture’s Flower Show Oscar Viewing Party at the Shops of Liberty Place. The PHS Flower Show kicks off Friday night with a black tie party, and continues February 28 through March 8. The theme this year is “Celebrate The Movies,” and leading up to the really big show, has been some really great events like the Oscar viewing party last night.
