Last week I attended the Gift of Life Family House 4th Annual President’s Reception.
 Gift of Life Family House serves as a “home away from home” for transplant patients and their families by providing temporary, affordable lodging.

 Howard Nathan, CEO & President Gift of Life, Ron Jaworski, Mary Pat Kessler and Jan L. Weinstock, Esq.  Jan is Vice President of Administration & General Counsel for Gift of Life Donor Program and oversees Gift of Life Family House. 

The Family House is very excited to welcome Jessica Sharp (r) to the Advisory Board! Jessica is principal of Maven Communications.
As a member of our advisory board, Jessica will serve the Family House
by providing her marketing and communication expertise to support our

Every week a person, group or an organization volunteers to prepare the meals to serve to the 40 families that are staying at the Gift of Life House, where a family member is waiting for an organ donation. If you or your organization would like to donate your time to prepare these important meals contact: The Home Cooked Heroes Program.

Faith Carlin (Faith
is a Research Coordinator at the National Transplantation Pregnancy
Registry at Gift of Life Institute. She also received a kidney and
pancreas 21 years ago!), Susan Pincus (kidney/pancreas transplant recipient) and Barbara Katz Chobert (heart transplant recipient.) All three of these ladies work in conjunction with the Gift of Life.
 Mary Pat Kessler, is a Board Member at the Gift of Life, and has donated a kidney to her sister.

Family House guest Dhillon Shah, 12 years old, speaks at the 4th Annual
President’s Reception at the Family House about being a guest at the
Family House, the importance of organ donation and his favorite things
about Philadelphia. Dhillon is awaiting a life-saving heart transplant.
