The Run for Clean Air 4/18/15 – Details and Photos. Plus last week a few runners raced a SEPTA bus, did they beat it?

Over the past 34 years more than 50,000 people have celebrated Earth Day by participating in the Clean Air Council’s Run for Clean Air presented by Toyota Hybrids – the largest celebration of its kind in the Greater Philadelphia area. Held on a beautiful spring morning (it’s going to be 60F at race-time), the Run supports the Council’s mission to protecting everyone’s right to breathe clean air.

“Clean Air Council is thrilled that so many people chose to celebrate Earth Day with us,”
said the Council’s Executive Director, Joseph Otis Minott, Esq.  “I’m also extremely proud of the steps the Council takes to make this event the greenest of its kind.  Many of our sponsors, like Toyota Hybrids, provide critical support to make that happen.”“Toyota and the Tri-State Toyota Dealers are very proud to be the Presenting Sponsor for the 34th annual Run for Clean Air.  With Toyota’s alternative fuel leadership and ongoing commitment to the development of vehicles that help reduce carbon emissions, our support of the Clean Air Council and this year’s Run for Clean Air is a
perfect match for us,” said Paul Muller, President of the Tri-State Toyota Dealers
Association.  “Toyota is committed to helping play a role in delivering cleaner air and
environmental sustainability to our customers.  With a portfolio of seven Toyota hybrid
models (soon to be eight), we are the leader in hybrid vehicles and have a selection of
hybrid car and SUV models to fit our customers’ diversified needs – including the newest
edition to our hybrid line-up, the RAV4 hybrid, which will be available this fall,” Muller
added.
