My July 4th Weekend
Happy July 5th. Hope you had a happy and safe holiday full of wonderful memories. I did a lot, July 4 is one of my fav holidays. This year I didn’t get to do as much with Welcome America as in the past, as the social season really ran right into July. Now I have very few scheduled events and will use this time to catch up with posts that might be a little less timely, but informative and fun as well. But today check out a few of my highlights from my weekend
Headed to One Liberty Observation Deck to check out the sunset and fireworks at Penns Landing.
Saturday I headed over to the Independence Seaport Museum. They had a great party on the deck, there was food, games, cocktails and it was a lot of fun.
The views were amazing, and we were treated to this unbelievable sunset
topped off by an amazing fireworks display
The next day Mike and I headed to the Stone Harbor for fun with the kids
In the evening we headed to a friends house to watch the fireworks in Avalon, NJ
Mike and I jetted back to the City and caught Philly’s Welcome America festivities, like the parade on Market Street.
I’m a people person, as you know, so I get joy out of what people are wearing, and their reactions to the parade and atmosphere
After the parade I headed to the Parkway for the Festival
Super impressed with the security and the fences they put up this year to protect the citizens
I headed into the VIP area to mix and mingle
Regina and Leon Huff – Honoree at Welcome America
Sarah Janiszewski and Dyana Williams, Old School 100.3
The Welcome America Tent (Formerly known as the Mayor’s Party)
The Casual Mayor (as my readers were calling him.) Sheila Hess, City Rep, Councilwomen Helen Gym, and Brett Flaherty.
