It’s important to have a good board, which good standing in the community and find out where strengths lie.   Build a relationship with potential sponsors. Engage the donor and build a relationship with them. Are there briefings they can attend or small dinners or breakfast meetings where they can ask questions? Make sure you explain where the money will go and the result of their donation. Give examples.  Thanks the donor, and continue a relationship with the donor. Be authentic and honest.

BalletX, the contemporary company known for pushing the boundaries of classical dance, is closing out its 11th season with Summer Series, a diverse program featuring works by two female choreographers and two world premieres.  The show kicks off with a new dance by BalletX co-founder Matthew Neenan, who is also resident choreographer for the Pennsylvania Ballet. BalletX performs its Summer Series July 12-16 at the Prince Theater.
