Howard shared that visiting the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum became an annual tradition before spring training, giving him an opportunity to reflect on the pioneers who paved the way for players like himself. His donation underscores the importance of preserving that history and ensuring future generations understand the impact of the Negro Leagues on America’s pastime.

Earlier today Philadelphia Phillies legend Ryan Howard was at the Fashion District Philadelphia for a meet and greet at the newly expanded Locker Room by Lids, sponsored by New Era.

It’s tied to the store’s rebrand and expansion into the larger Locker Room by Lids concept, and comes as the city’s still riding high on sports energy across all four major teams.
