PHILLYregram: What We Did This Weekend….

What a gorgeous weekend, hope you had a great time. I’m so busy with events I shot over the weekend, and I’m getting great response from these roundups I thought I’d do one today of some of the interesting things people did this weekend. Here we go.

Mike and I caught the sunset at the gazebo behind the Art Museum. I highly recommend you watch one from here at least once a year. It’s romantic, it’s great for the family, it’s beautiful and who can beat a sunset on the water.

I didn’t have a chance to make it to the Devon Horse Show this year, as I mentioned last week, but so glad the gays made a fashionable appearance.

AP Smitty and friends went boating.

Some of my friends stayed home and did DIY projects on Saturday. On Sunday I ran into Joan and Matt at the East Passyunk Craft Beer and Italian Festival. Check out my photos on Philly.com later today.
Jamyra Perry is with the Penn Jersey Roller Derby

When he’s not traveling the world photographing beautiful women, he can be found down the shore looking beautiful.
Eric Smith following his dream
I guess she keeps all the important stuff in her head.
This time of year a sea breeze is not refreshing, but at least Annie had the beach to herself.

Tuesday 3 – 5 I will be photographing the Beer Week Dunk Tank party at London Grille in Fairmount.

Stacey Kracher and I hit up the Young Friends of The Academy Ball pool party at the Hamilton home on the Mainline. I missed a very important spot with the sunblock and look like Rudolph.

Partying with Marisa, what’s not to love.
OK this isn’t from Philly, but I know several Philly girls who will want these. Here’s the link.

InstaGossipFun: Rick Tocchet & Susie Celek, Jeremy Maclin, Riley Cooper, Plus More Fun

OMG I got a great response to yesterday’s InstaGossipFun. I might peruse the interweb and post a daily column, along with my events. It’s a perfect way to aggregate the happenings, sightings and things to do, especially since Philly is so popping lately.

Last night the Sporting Club had a happy hour to kick off another great issue of Belong magazine. On hand for the festivities were the Amy Stratton (center) Skin Palette girls Susie Celek and Julie Dorenbos, who brought their arm candy Rick Tocchet and Jon Dorenbos. Susie and Rick first met back in February at the Annual Firefighter, NHL Alumni, Celebrity Hockey Game supporting the All Hands Working Charity in Atlantic City, NJ

I couldn’t make it as
I was at the American Diabetes Associations “Father of the Year” Award to snap a few shots, which I will run next week. My friend Craig Spitzer was one of the honorees. Looking on is his wife Erin Elmore and son Royce.
Then ran to my
BFF bday party, Christie Honigman . Which was held at Penn 6. They were
also celebrating their 1 year anniversary and the place was popping. The
curse is broken at that spot RIP Tweed and a few other spots.  (Sweet FB love our friend Katie English created for Christie.)
I’ll be running pixs next week of the party.

Afterwards a few of us headed over to Sampan for dinner.  (Marisa Magnatta, Lynsie & Evan Solomon, Ian M Crumm, Michael Magnatta, and Mike Toub.) Dinner was delicious as usually, but the dessert standout had to be this Rice Krispy Ice Cream Sushi Roll. Yum.  Sitting a few tables away were a few senior Eagles dining with some of the younger players.
Which my friend Samantha Bucher  snapped in the Graffiti Bar (back porch of Sampan) later. She does seem to find the celebs lately. (Sampan takes reservations and you should make them. The place is always packed, but they do take walk ins.)
@slbuchs

Kacie McDonnell   and her man Aaron Murray. (You know how they met, on twitter.)
Thanks to my friend Michelle Leonard who invited Mike and I to watch the Devon Horse Show from her box, but we were unable to make it. I love this shot she got – #FoodPorn from Capital Grille and the horse in the background.

Philly Beer Week Begins today. I’ll be shooting the Philly Beer Week’s London Grill DUNK TANK for P.A.W.S. on Tuesday 3 – 5PM.  Check out this years schedule HERE.

Yesterday I had a photo in The Philly Daily News.
HUGHE DILLON / FOR THE DAILY NEWS MLB commissioner and cancer survivor
Bud Selig shows off his newly received Wistar Institute President’s
Award. With him is Wistar CEO Russel E. Kaufman in Molly Eichel’s Philly Gossip column yesterday.

Chubby Checker was on today. He’s promoting “My Music: ‘50s & ‘60s Party Songs”
So funny. 6ABC’s Shirleen Allicott, and Brian Taff

This is essential to know this weekend. Have a fantastic one.
Check out Christie Honigman singing in her bathroom. We need to get her on “The Voice”
HOLY COW TALENTED. I knew she could sing, but WOWOWOW
and this one

I didn’t know the North Broad Street synagogue was growing. It’s already pretty huge. That North Broad Street is happening.

The delightful Emily Goulet asked me (Ian) 6
questions when we got coffee the other week. My fashion pet peeves and
style thoughts are up on Philadelphia magazine’s Shoppist blog: http://www.phillymag.com/shoppist/2014/05/23/6-questions-philly-mens-style-blogger-ian-michael-crumm/

No one loves life more than Jacquie Fanelle Winner
Want to avoid that shore traffic: North Shore Beach Club is the place to be on the weekends.
Dan Hamm, Thomas J Finnegan and Lex Wainwright – Happy Birthday yesterday Lex.

 Hysterical!
I sure do miss my Erin Como. She’s kicking it big time in Nashville doing traffic reporting and entertainment reporting. Her face is even on billboards!!
 Congratulations!!
Much deserved rest after last weeks busy, monumental rulings with Gay Marriages. Have an awesome trip.
I love following Josh and his partner Alan ‘s vacation in the Middle East this week.
I wonder who he’s named after?
My schedule didn’t allow me to cover the Devon Horse Show this year. But Kristy Sevag and her family were there.
Coming up in June, Sevag Creative
is doing the PR for:
The Believe and Achieve Foundation will be hosting two incredible
events, the 4th Annual Believe and Achieve Charity Golf Event and a
Celebrity Gala.
I was worried Speedo’s was going to go under after board suits became so popular. Thankfully AP Smitty (Speedo with white stripe) and friends are supporting them.

Mike Toub and HughE Dillon’s Wedding & Honeymoon Album

Mike and I are about to celebrate our 20th year together July 16. Over the years we had seen many of our friends travel all over the country and Canada to get married, and although we could have we always said we would wait until it was legal in Pennsylvania. A few weeks ago I told Mike I don’t think it’s going to happen for a while, in fact a LGBT lobbyist told us it wasn’t going to happen for another 5 years, so we started talking about getting married in Delaware as there are a few things we wanted to protect legally in our union.

Surprise, surprise Marriage Equality passed in Pennsylvania last week. It was a whirlwind week as Mike and I decided we would take the plunge as soon as possible. Then came the news that marriages would happen Friday and Saturday at City Hall:

Judges who have volunteered to perform marriage ceremonies on Friday included: President Judge Sheila Woods-Skipper, Judge Daniel J. Anders, Judge Diana Louise
Anhalt, Judge Mark I. Bernstein, Judge Ann Butchart, Judge Barbara A. McDermott, and Judge Lisa M. Rau.

Judges who have volunteered to perform marriage ceremonies on Saturday included: President Judge Sheila Woods-Skipper, Judge Daniel J. Anders, Judge Diana Louise
Anhalt, Judge Ann Butchart, and Judge Joseph D. O’Keefe.  Mayor Nutter also performed marriage ceremonies today.

Christie Honigman, maid of honor, Mike Toub, Rita Addessa, Mama Toub, me, Kory Aversa, Best Man, Phyllis Halpern, maid of honor.
Thanks to everyone who was there on the special day. I know a lot of my friends were sad they weren’t there, and I told many of them we would do a blessed ceremony, we decided not to. It was a great day, and we appreciate all the love and support you all showed us through SM, calls and emails.
Thanks to Christie for the gorgeous boutineers, Mama Toubs wrist corsage. She got them at
So many people asked us about them, and the choice of color.
Rita Addessa lead the forefront of LGBT rights in Philly during the 70s through mid 00s. I used to see her on TV during the morning shows broadcast in Philly, and she re-assured me there were others out there like me. Mike and I used to volunteer for her organization (GLBT Task Force) in the 90 – 00s.
Judge Dan Anders performing the ceremony. (Christie took this shot and many others that will be in our forever book.)

Love this #Selfie shot of Michael Toub, Hughe Dillon and Judge Dan Anders after announcing us as groom and groom. So great to have Dan do our nuptials, a trailblazer, great judge, the first opening gay judge in Philly.
“Tuesday
was a truly historic day in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and
another victory in the long fight for equality and freedom for every
American,” said
Mayor Nutter.   I was honored to
join the judges to officiate a few unions myself, and hopefully, I
will perform many more ceremonies in the future.  Uniting two people in
marriage is one of my favorite official duties to perform as Mayor of our great city.”
Thanks to Kory Aversa for doing the most amazing social media on our wedding. He really captured the day and kept our friends at the beach engaged. Follow him on instagram.
(I got my ring at Garland of Letter’s 10 minutes before they closed on Friday night. I love it. Symbols mean happiness and luck. Mike bought his somewhere else on South Street. He’s currently in the market for another one.)
He threw me a great bachelor party at Chima Steakhouse too. (With Emily Tharp, it was her bday)
We headed over to XIX restaurant at the Bellevue for a post wedding lunch. It was delicious and the perfect spot. Thanks to Christie, Kory, Phyllis and Stacey Kracher for lunch. So sweet.
I had always planned to surprise Mike with a trip to Chincoteague for Memorial Day Weekend. So instead of leaving on Friday, we left on Sunday and had them most blissful commune with nature for 24hrs.
(Thanks to Pharrell’s Peace Love World organization for the TShirt)

Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge

All this gorgeous is only 3.5 hrs away.

We stayed at Comfort Suites. We called them at 9PM Sunday night and Dana found us a beautiful suite  for $180 with this view. (Hampton Inn next door only had a smoking, double for $225, yuck.)
 Main Street is adorable
The Wildlife Loop on Assateague Island, nearby.
