Q102, the Philadelphia area’s favorite Top 40s radio station, is hosting Paul D’s DJ night, in conjunction with The Deck in Essington. To celebrate our nation’s independence with a little bit of dancing, they’ve decided to call the night “Red, White and Pauly D.”

NBC10 is reporting that Special guests after their press conference will be:

Michael Lohan, “Tool Academy”’s Jordan Alexander and Devon James.

One of my biggest selling pixs in the last few months was:

Justin’s Quest aims to raise $250,000 for National Brain Tumor Society & A LOT OF HOT ON PENNS LANDING INCLUDING DOWN THE SHORE WITH THE PHILLY GIRLS

Saturday June 26, 2010

Whatcha all waiting for in this 97F heat?Actors Jackson Rathbone

and Nicola Peltz attended an autograph-signing at Wawa’s Welcome America at Penn’s Landing for their movie The Last Airbender, which opens July 1st. (In The Twilight Saga, Jackson Rathbone plays Jasper Hale.) (Parts of this article appeared in my Philly Mag column Monday.)
The day was hot, and eventually Nicola picked up that table fan and held it a few inches from her face.

3 guys from the Welcome America Crew waiting for their next assignment: Pat McCue, Chuck McCue and Kevin Ferry, on their perch girl watching?
If they had just turned around they would have seen the hot foursome (with George Anastasia) : Down The Shore Emily Reppert, Entela Zemanay, Erin Como and Tanya Smith.
A few young fans were excited to meet them. Catch their weekly reports about what is hot down the shore. Also hot at Philly.com is anything Marnie Hall reports. Marnie is a natural, which came as a shock to her as she had always worked behind the scenes in the media. One day the original host wasn’t available and on a producer’s (maybe Jim Barry) hunch Marnie got in front of the camera, and a star was born. (I’d have a link here but I couldn’t find poor Marnie’s)

Thad Young and Former 76er Darryl Dawkins pose with Joey Friedlander whose brother is Justin Friedlander a boy diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor last March 2009.
Justin Friedlander, age 13, with his mission to shoot 63,000 baskets, one for every person in the US who’s diagnosed with a primary brain tumor each year. Justin’s Quest aims to raise $250,000 for the National Brain Tumor Society.
Less than two months after his diagnosis, Justin had helped to raise nearly $50,000 through the Race for Hope in D.C. to help with brain tumor research. Later in 2009, he started Justin’s Quest, with a goal of finding a cure for brain tumors.
His 63,000th shot will be done at the NBA All-Star Game in February. Until then, folks can help him achieve his goal—as long as he is present on the foul line, even shots that others throw count towards his goal.
His parents Jon and Audrey told me that he is currently up to 14,619. At home his brothers Jacob, Joey and Jordan help him with the free throws.
Philly helped him get over the 15,000th mark.
On Saturday 76er Thaddeus Young took the first shot toward Saturday’s target of 500 baskets, which they achieved.

PAWS THE REST OF THE PICTURES FROM THE 2010 EVENT AT THE UNION LEAGUE

Monday night was the sixth annual Chefs’ Dinner for Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), an event that brings chefs and patrons together for an interactive evening of food, fun and fundraising. More than 40 of the nation’s best chefs created an extraordinary gastronomic experience at The Union League. The dress was “gala chic,” but not black tie. The list was the who’s who of the Philadelphia area and, of course, animal lovers.Dana Spain 2nd from left and her mother 1st on the right.

The Union League was the perfect spot to host such a prestigious event. Each room held pods of various restaurants, and was decorated in that restaurants theme design. I don’t have too many photos of the night as I arrived late having been at the hospital all day for a relative who wants to remain anonymous’, procedure. SO wonderful to see so many socialites, friends and frenimies gather to support a prestigious cause. It’s great that people can see beyond the politics to help support those without a voice. The guests gather for dessert on the main floor.

WATERFRONT SQUARE CONDO – MY STAYCATION and PhillyChitChat’s 3rd Anniversary Party

Waterfront Square is a completely new concept for Philadelphia. It offers an incredible opportunity to people who want to live in the city but feel as though they reside in a secluded resort. Isle of Capri Associates, the developers of Waterfront Square Condominiums & Spa conducted preliminary market studies, which indicated a desire for an elegant riverfront residential community that offers a lifestyle of comfort, security and service-rich environment. When I arrived for my Staycation on Friday night this was the first thing I saw as I walked through the door:
Ok the 2nd thing, here’s the foyer

My condo retails for $639,000, a bit out of my price range, but I hear they have more affordable ones for me in the $300,000 range.
The list of amenities is crazy. Gated community with luxury Amenities: Spa and Fitness Center,Health Club,Indoor Swimming Pool overlooking Delaware River,Sundeck,This is on top of the multi story parking garage.
It’s a 9 hole golf course, plus a park setting to walk your dogs, relax and just take in the views on any one of the benches around the space. It’s like a courtyard for the buildings.

I couldn’t get over the views day and

nightWalking/Jogging Trail,Sauna,Concierge Service,Conference Room,Putting Green,Shuttle Service to Center City,Covered Garage with Parking and Valet Parking,24 Hour Security.
Modern Kitchen with Granite countertops, stainless Steel appliances and ceramic titles. In home Washer and Dryer,Prewire for Cable/Phone. Oversize windows overlooking Delaware River. Close to all major roads/restaurants and nightlife!!
Saturday night James Zeleniak (here with wife Alicia Crawford-Zeleniak), The Waterfront Square Condos, Fish, Fork and Yards Brewery hosted a fantastic party for PhillyChitChat’s 3rd Anniversary. I was limited on space and didn’t want to wear out my welcome so I only invited a few of the people who have really helped me over the years with my blog.
Maria Papadakis and Ashley Keen stopped by to join in the celebration.

Aida Starta and Stacey Kracher

Mike, Amber G and Kendra. Both Amber and Kendra live here in separate buildings. They love the security, the gated community. The neighborhood society, in fact later in the evening they went to the Lighthouse, which is where the community room is, to join in a neighborhood community party. And what a neighborhood it is, it has over 1,000 units, but it doesn’t feel overcrowded as there is enough space to roam around.
The lovely Erin Elmore. Thank you thank you thank you. I met Erin in Aug 2008 at a Philly Mag Best of party. We became fast friends and she’s been so generous to me over the years. It seems like we’ve known each other a lot longer than that and I consider her to be one of my besties.

Thanks to Flower child for the beautiful flowers that awaited me when I walked through the door. Everything was so beautiful, and thoughtful. I am so grateful.
Jamyra Perry, Jonathan Vendrick and Melony Roy. These three have been thick as thieves with me, also offering good advice, and Jonathan keeping me up to date with what can be told about the goings on at the Loews Hotel. I believe mostly due to the velvet touch of Jonathan Vendrick is why many celebrities choose to stay at the Loews because Jonathan is the VIP Concierge and he takes care of their every need. Rose petals on your bed anyone?
Janice Lim and Erin Elmore and those sexy legs. Erin is about to jet off to San Fran to be with her new beau Jamie. I hope we don’t lose Erin to the City by the Bay, but it could happen. Those two are dynamite together.

What’s a HughE party without fireworks.
This unit had 2 bedrooms, and 2.5 baths. Too much luxury to get used to.
I loved watching the river and all it’s activity. Now I was on the 14th Floor, but I believe there are great views from almost every floor.

On July 7th I will celebrate 3 years being PhillyChitChat. Although I have to say the blog really didn’t take off until Aug 2008, and then super dooper after I met Sabrina Tamburino in Nov 2008 at a Philly Style Magazine party. I have only missed maybe 10 entries in the 3 years since I started. Sure I have had some sucky ones and I apologize;)
Beautiful Lobby
My friends who are always there for me, even when I might be too busy to see them on a regular basis. My partner Mike, one of my long time friends Scott, who I have known for about 20 years, and my bird watching friend Marty. (Some of my other friends couldn’t make it as it seemed to be a big vacation week.)
I’m having another party for a larger segment of friends on July 4th at my house as I can see the Art Museum fireworks.

Peggy Trott and Brenda MendteMatt Valahos, Mike Toub, Krista and Chris Gabello and Jimmy Contreras

Eventually they will have 5 buildings for the complex. So far three buildings have been built, and 2 are fully occupied. The third building has just been completed and it’s ready for residents. That is the one I stayed at and it was magnificent. The construction is solid, the windows really keep out the noise, but it’s the city and I like the noise so I left them partially opened. The views, I don’t have to tell you about the views. I currently live in a luxury building, but this complex blows away anything I have ever seen deemed luxury, and the another great feature is it’s only 3 blocks from Northern Liberties, shopping, food and night life. If you can afford to live in a community like this, and you are looking to live in Philadelphia, you can’t afford not to look at the Waterfront Square Condos.
