Thorncroft’s Victory Gallop and fantastic Party Decor

Equestrian season is upon us and what better way to kick it off than with the Thorncroft Victory Gallop at the Bellevue Hotel on April 6, 2019. The Victory Gallop is Thorncroft’s signature event of the year.

Since 1969, Thorncroft and it’s founder, Saunders Dixon, have been recognized as forerunners in the field of therapeutic riding. Many of our riders require financial assistance to participate in our riding programs. The Scholarship Fund, solely supported by our endless fundraising efforts, is the hallmark of our program and crucial in allowing our philosophy of “never turning a rider away solely due to lack of funds” to continue.

Chaired by Gus and Kristin Meyer of Malvern, Pennsylvania, this year’s Victory Gallop attracted more than 400 guests for a night of dinner, dancing and a toast of celebration to Thorncroft’s past, present and future as they celebrated 50 years of touching people’s lives.

Thorncroft serves 350 students per week. This year alone, the Farm gave out $75,000 in scholarship to students who, due to financial constraints, were unable to afford the therapy offered at Thorncroft.

“Celebrating our 50th Anniversary, this year’s Victory Gallop, Golden Hearts Lead The Way: 50 Years of Horses Healing Humans, acknowledges the unique and transformative power that our horses give to all who encounter them. While each year brings necessary change to the farm, we remain passionate in our efforts to provide this transformation to all who see it, welcoming all friends regardless of their challenges.”
