Ariana Grande is one of this generations powerhouse singers. She is absolutely one of the most talented singers to hit the airwaves lately, reminded us of a little Mariah Carey and all that comes with it. The nearly overnight success brings with her all that we know of Mariah Carey and the #KnowYourValue diva demands that come with it. She doesn’t walk the red carpet, she has a no minion policy near my dressing room rider request, the days of fan interaction on the street are no longer the norm, #NoSelfie rule is in place, and as for the professional photographers, you can only shoot Ms Grande from stage right. Note the picture above how we are on the right of the stage. Seems she only likes her dimple side shot. Seems she doesn’t like to walk on the ground much either.
When I was running from the stage to the press room to shoot the next singer on the red carpet, I was asked to stay back until the talent got to their location. I never saw the face of the singer, but she had a girlish laugh and I swore it was Ariana Grande.
