Breaking Glass’ Visits Cannes and Gets The job Done
Breaking Glass Pictures is buying and selling films in Cannes again. This year

with famous DJ, John Cameron Mitchell Spins a Queer DanceBGP arrived at Cannes 2011 to acquire 10 to 15 films that appeal to both
mainstream and genre audiences. This year BGP entered the international

Also at the luncheon was Breaking Glass’ COO Susan Helfrich and actor Stellan Skarsgard. Breaking Glass won the North American rights to Laure Charpentier’s controversial free spirited drama Gigola about Paris in the psychedelic ’60s , starring Marisa Berenson. Based on Charpentier’s novel, “Gigola” is set in Paris’ Pigalles neighborhood in the early 1960s. Pic toplines French thesp Lou Doillon as a young and free-spirited woman. Breaking Glass’ bought 14 titles at Cannes besides Gigola they also got the rights to Rent Boys, Dirty Pictures, The Coffin, The Hide, and others. Look for Go Go Crazy, Rent Boys, and Gigola screening along with Walk A Mile In My Pradas screening in July at Qfest.
