Deborah Hospital Foundation’s 14th Annual Red Tie Gala Was Heartfelt

Deborah Hospital Foundation’s 14th Annual Red Tie Gala was held Saturday, November 9, 2019, at the Hilton Philadelphia at Penn’s Landing. The Gala, emceed by 6ABC News Anchor Rick Williams, included a cocktail reception and silent auction, lavish dinner, dancing to music provided by CTO Tribeca, and special entertainment.

Tickets were $325.00 per person and proceeds of the evening benefit Deborah Heart and Lung Center which in over 90 years has never billed a patient, and is recognized as one of the top specialty hospitals that has provided heart, lung, and vascular care to all, regardless of their ability to pay.

Deborah Heart and Lung Center is now a clinical affiliate of the Cleveland Clinic Heart & Vascular Institute, further elevating cardiovascular care for patients in the region.

At the gala it was announced that Deborah Heart and Lung Center received a $5 million gift from Gregory Olsen, PhD., to Deborah100: The Campaign.  It is the largest single gift by an individual to Deborah in its 97-year history, and ranks among the largest gifts ever made to a New Jersey hospital. The funds will go to Deborah100: The Campaign, a multiyear initiate to add new patient floors all with private inpatient suits to the Browns Mills-based specialty cardiac, pulmonary and vascular hospital.

“Deborah has long stood at the forefront of ground-breaking medical care,” Joseph Chirichella, CEO and president of Deborah Heart and Lung Center, said. “But we have also stood for compassion and kindness through our philosophy that ‘there’s no price on life’.
