More than 100 happy guests – the largest Tasty Talk audience ever – enjoyed deluxe hors d’oeuvres and a fabulous communal lunch. A host of local celebrities packed the house:
NFL football great Fred Baxter, sporting his super bowl ring; beloved former Flyer Brian Propp, second in Flyers history for goals and assists; WOGL morning host and Tasty Talk alumna Marilyn Russell; next month’s Tasty Talk speaker, man about town HughE Dillon of; and Kristen Hermann of the Ben FM Morning Show. Steve spoke with humor and deep feeling about “Camp Out for Hunger,” WMMR’s annual food drive, which last year collected over 100 million pounds of food for those in need. Steve’s wife Clare Morrison shared moving stories about the charity that their Tasty Talk supported: the Mac Fund at the Cat Shack. Clare has seen first hand the need to spay and neuter stray cats, in the hopes that every kitten can be treated humanely and find a good home.
