Here’s part of the press release:

Yep that happened

The two mayoral candidates Michael Nutter and Al Taubenberger break bread and catch a laugh at the 2nd Annual Bellevue Sandwich Off

They seem to take their jobs very seriously, taking a bite, thinking about the taste
and then writing down the their thoughts on the ballot

Thom Cardwell of Thom’s Table see
http://www.buckmonkey.net/, and his table mate scrutinizing one of the sandwiches.

Both candidates were interupted by citizens to say hi, but Nutter was the hands down winner on shaking the voters hand (this guy is basically saying, Mr Nutter I will vote for you, basically saying to the other guys face, You’re not getting my vote, you damn republican)

Director of Public Relations for the Bellevue, Anna Iredale checking to make sure everyone is ok. S uspiciously, Nutter’s sandwich was missing. Did he eat it that quickly?

Then the waiter dropped another off for Nutter to try…

Oh no what’s he doing?

he’s passing his sandwich to his hungrey assistant

Nutter has a designated eater

eventually everyone finished, and the the tally was counted

The winners were Bain’s in First Place, second place went to that little Italian place at the bottom of the escalator. Pictured above: Thom Cardwell, the two Lindsays, ballgirls from the Phillies, R&B singer Carol Riddick, Writer, Lorraine Ranalli, Republican Taubenberger, and my mayor Michael Nutter.

I\’m just looking through the pictures to see If I can see a picture of me. It was a good event and good to the people of Philly.
I have to admit I then went down and read the blog about Clay Aiken Fans. I quite enjoyed most of the blog. I have a completely different take on the cars, tee shirts etc., It\’s good to see some people supporting something they like in a positive way. Last year we wrote on our cars to support school in sporting events. Seniors of the school write on their cars, it\’s a tradition of pride for what you support and being involved in polictical process, we can only hope that people would be as supportive as these wonderful fans. I was kind of offended at your comment of middle aged ladies as I am now one. I still have the same spirit I did when I was a girl. I shouldn\’t have to just sit at a window and watch the world go by. If I like something or someone, I should be not be chastised for liking it. We all have different tastes.
Good for you all Clay Aiken fans!
Don\’t let anyone rain on your parade.
Thanks for the debate blog and all the wonderful pictures.
I apologize for calling Clay\’s fan\’s Middle age ladies, it wasn\’t an insult as much as it was pointing out his demographics. More middle aged ladies than any other group there. Nothing wrong with middle age, blessed to be here.
This was great…you really captured the event. It was a thrill to see one of my press releases on a blog.
