Marilyn died of ALS before civil unions became law in New Jersey; and we all suffer the effects of marriage inequality to this day. Documentary filmmaker Pilar Prassas has been following the seven plaintiff couples’ lawsuit since it was filed in 2002. ) and Pilar Prassas with the plaque they got when they won the Juried “Best Documentary Award”
