Guess who just got back today?
Them wild-eyed boys that had been away
Haven’t changed, haven’t much to say
But man, I still think them cats are crazy
The boys are back in town
The boys are back in town
I said

The boys are back in town
The boys are back in town

Spread the word around
Guess who’s back in town

You spread the word around
The boys are back in town
The boys are back in townAlso back in town
The Automotive Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia (ADAGP) will be holding the 2009 Philadelphia Auto Show in the Philadelphia Convention Center from January 31-February 8. More than 40 manufacturers are participating this year, and nearly 700 cars.

(The first picture is of Christine Gunsaullus and Catherine Kucowski. I was walking by when I saw Christine doing the Dodge jump, and knew I just had to have that shot for my readers. Catherine had heels on so she just agreed to a great big smile, which worked well. Both girls were enjoying the show thanks to Chris Eskridge of D’Ambrosia Dodge. Thanks girls for that fun picture, I wonder if I could get Wendy Rosen to do something fun like that?)

When you go to the Philadelphia Auto Show, tell the JL Concessionaires Coat Check Girls Philly Chit Chat says hi!!Emotions run high this year during the 2009 Philadelphia Auto Show; the economy is bad, sales are down, but thankfully there will always be an audience for a beautiful car and the dreams we have of possessing her. One thing I notice that was different from other years, is there is much more room to walk around as the cars are spaced nicely apart. In past years, I could barely stand attending the event because of the crush of people and cars.

Friday night was the kick off preview annual Black Tie Tailgate Gala held at the Philadelphia Convention Center, where the car show will be until 2/8/09.
Produced and owned by the Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia (ADAGP), the 2008 Philadelphia International Auto Show continues its tradition of donating one dollar for every Auto Show ticket sold to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia through the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation.
Liberty Tirpok, Cheyenne Tirpok, Andrew G. Tirpok III, Emily Jung, Andrew G. Tirpok II and Dorthy DormidaAs for Dorothy Ingram, she has her eye on the Black Expedition to the left of this photo. I asked her if she was worried about the gas mileage, and she said “Baby it’s just for tooling around the City.” She further stated her husband already has one, but she wants a newer one.
This was a cool room, it’s in the hallway going towards the Grand Hallway on the right. It houses the souped up cars, motorcycles and an airbrushed car. Pumped up rap music is kickin here, and a few choice cars by Kendra and 50 Cent can be found here.Sick
Tracy Seng, the elusive Brett Silver and Maria CharnoNutter and the weather folks at WPVI Karen Rogers and Adam Joseph. (Insert plug here, check out Anne-Marie Green all week anchoring mornings on KYW3 at 5:30AM – 7AM, love her)Stephen and Julia Shoff, with Vikki and Eric Mayberry
Erica Jansen is looking for a mini-van for the kids that she plans to have with her fiance Sgt. Kotlorchxy sometime in the future. As for Kotlorchxy he had his eye a sporty two seater something or other as it was hard to hear as she screamed, no no no!!
I thought this would be a good compromise for them.
Lisa Swartz, Jocelyn Price, Alec Price, Buy a Volkswago Dave Swartz, the lovely Jeanine and David NeffA few years back Mike and I hit our mid-life crisis and wanted a yellow car. At the time there weren’t many choices that we loved except a beautiful Porsche, which I was on board to buying, even thought to surprise Mike, but darn we have an agreement in our household, any purchases above $500 we have to discuss with each other. Mike was dead set against the two seater as impractical. Oh well I still lust over a yellow car like this Nissan. We drive a Silver car now. This is not it, but it is a Suburu. This could be a contender in 2 years when our lease is up. Mike what do you think? Nissan 370Z: This all-new 2009 model, which began arriving in showrooms in mid-January, marks the gutsier second coming of the 350Z. It is, in other words, a 332-horsepower, kick-butt sports car with a nifty coupe body and a starting price under $30,000.
Looky here, who’s gracing us for the 2nd time this week, one of my new fav’s Blondell Reynolds-Brown, with her lovely sister, who has a terrific memory as I only met her once last October at the Cashman 7th Anniversary Party, Pandora Woods, John McDaniels, Ida Iacovetti and Blondell.

Whether you’re a big boy or a little boy, the Black Tie Tailgate Party brought them out to dream about their future mode of transportationGirls can dream too
Holly Dean and Matthew Derrick (Stylin’ it w/those kickers Holly. Actually I like the whole outfit)Sarah Wieman and Samantha Hartzell are eyeing the “Baby Robin Blue” Wrangler Jeep.

Erin Elmore and the StreetTalkin Team Saturday found Erin in NYC brunching in the Meatpacking District next to Sienna Miller.
There certainly was a lot of fashion to be had at the GalaNichole Vaughn, Deborah Roberson, Robert Roberson and Ann Roberson (who was looking for a new Mercedes)
And Starr Events did the catering…Where did I find Philly young socialites, in the Porsche, SAAB, Rolls section. Check out Booth 10 for Ron Hansen and his exotic office chairs from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Porsche, Aston Martin and more.

Enjoying the Rolls Royce and Lamborghini’s were Beth Ann Platt and Lee NiemanAlso spotted the ultra hot, and sexy Sabrina Tamburino and her man automotive man Steve Thorne lounging on a lime green Lamborghini (Don’t try this at home unless you can afford to repair the dent)

Sabrina shining her future car. I think it was an Aston Martin? She swears there was red speckle paint amongst the finish, but even with Steve Thorne and Ron Hansen inspecting the car, none was to be found. And just like that the night was over, but what a nice note to leave it on Happy Ground Hog Day – Now can we hit weather guesser Glenn “Hurricane” Schwartz with snowballs since he predicted this would be the snowiest winter season and it has barely snowed an inch in Philly.
