GERARD BUTLER – Your Daily Gerry Tues 3/17/09

Please check out my other entry today regarding a story that is in the same vein of “PS I Love You” The St. Patrick’s Story above this entry. Thanks HughE
Guess what, remember last week when I reported that the casting company wanted a lot of black, high end cars? I spent the week asking folks in the biz if they knew where the filming would be, no one knew and others said they couldn’t tell me. So I did a lot of research, walked around the City looking for street closing signs as I thought 3 days of filming with the black cars, maybe they are going to a museum for a Gala scene, or perhaps a parade, who knew. Guess where they were going and I should have known, especially since I know the subject matter.
They’re filming in a cemetery, historic Laurel Hill Cemetery to be precise. Now I will tell you that I found out from a friend that security is tighter than Fort Knox, and the scene being filmed is deep inside the middle of the cemetery. So if you are one of the fans that wrote me to say you were flying, driving or coming into town to see the filming this week, you might be out of luck. There’s always standing by the gate, but that’s not something I would recommend either, it’s kinda a barren area and I can not vouch for your safety. So I would just recommend you enjoy these photos on the Wireimage site and wait for the next Gerry Update. I guess they know someone in production, but these shots are pretty far away from the action. I will say that this photographer did get really great shots of the Marley & Me filming when they were here last year, so he is top notch, and a nice guy to boot.

Glad to know they shut you down! You are intrusive, obnoxious and a stalker!
My, my. Someone sounds dreadfully upset. Don\’t take it out on Hugh, he\’s just doing his job. For a papparazzi, I think you are a very considerate man, Hugh. Was thinking of going back to Philly this weekend just to see if I get lucky but I think I\’ll stay put. With every picture, I just become a bigger fan.
I love Laurel Hill – it\’s incredible and definitely worth seeing.
I guess that Gerry fan isn\’t a regular reader and doesn\’t read People Magazine or watch Entertainment tonight as most of the photos in there are paparazzi photos.
I love when people criticize me, and then continue to read my blog.
I can see why security would be tight. The fact that it\’s a cemetery, the last thing you\’d want is a big crowd of noisy people stomping all over everyone\’s graves. Not only that, but you\’d need a LOT of quiet to film this type of scene. Can\’t have a bunch of chattering people. 🙂
HughE: Of all the pap out there, you seem to be the most considerate and we fans appreciate your way of handling business. As to the other anon, you do sound a little miffed and should chill. HughE is not the bad guy but others are. I\’m far away and can\’t come to see the action. You have provided a great outlet for us to know how Gerry is doing, and I appreciate it. We don\’t want to distract our man from his focus on acting. This scene in the cemetery has to be secluded for the solemnity of it all.(Also, this is a place where the peoples loved one are resting and they are being respectful of that by limiting people traipsing around.) I want this movie to be the well made, so if it takes seclusion then so be it. I can live with that. Thanks HughE.
When they are done filming you must go visit the Laurel Hill Cemetery. They have guided tours as many of the signers of the Declaration of Indep are buried there, as well as Civil War heroes. They have a great Halloween Tour. It\’s one of the most scenic cemetery\’s in the country with a peaceful view of the Schuylkill river.
You do a graeat job. My family lives in East Falls and you are right, people should stay away, you can\’t get near it so just stay away. It is a cemetary people have family there. You could have told people where he was staying. By the way I saw him going into a hotel, but maybe he was just eating there. My daughter did blab about the cemetary under my name. My fault for letting her on.
Hugh, I respect the fact that you are respectful of Gerry. He seems to be open to your photographing him, so why should anyone else be objective to it. We fans that are not able to travel to Philly to see this in person really appreciate your coverage of the event. If Gerry is ok with it then I am thrilled to see the updates every day. Thank you for doing your job in a way that doesn\’t annoy Gerry or interfer with his work. I have seen fan videos and pics that seemed more intrusive than yours. Great work.
Thank God they shut it down! I\’m sorry, but I hope they do this for the remainder of filming. I hope the stalkerish behavior stops now, from fans and razzis alike.
I\’m a huge GB fan, but I\’m one who does NOT appreciate what\’s been done. I\’d rather have no pictures than know he\’s been harassed and bothered at work. Please stay away… I\’m sure there\’s more to report on in Philly or somewhere else.
Don\’t blame the crack dealer, blame the crack addict.
It\’s not intrusive HughE\’s fault.
If people didn\’t read The National Inquirer, celebrities wouldn\’t be harassed and bothered with flash bulbs and worse.
Although HughE might be the \”nicest paparazzi\”, isn\’t that like saying \”he\’s the best prisoner on death row?\”
Yesterday, I made a comment that you could have told people where gerard butler was staying. By that I meant you didn\’t do that, so where does this person get off saying your intrusive. I guess they have never been to L.A. Celebrities can\’t even take a piss.
By the way the girls who were calling out to Gerard Butler Monday night, if you were Irish or Scottish you would know to pronounce the name as if it were spelled Gerid.
THANK YOU FOR TELLING IT LIKE IT REALLY IS !!!
