When I get press releases I put them on the PhillyChitChat calendar, some don’t quite fit there and some events need to be highlighted. There is so much to do this weekend I am having trouble making up my mind, but here are my picks:

Friday:
Chef Jose Garces’ wine bar and restaurant inspired by the extraordinary tastes of Spain’s Basque region, Tinto (114 South 20th Street, 215-665-9150), now offers guests live flamenco guitar performances by musician Cristian Puig. Every Friday night, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Puig plays live in Tinto’s intimate bar area.

As the Philadelphia Flyers, 76ers, and Phantoms begin their run into the Playoffs, the Philadelphia Wings look to become the fourth Philly team to make the postseason this year. The Wings travel to Rochester, NY for the final regular season game against the Knight hawks this Saturday, April 18 at 7:30 p.m. The winner will earn the final spot in the National Lacrosse League’s Playoffs. I donated it and got it personally signed when Oprah rang the bell at Nasdaq in 2007. I will also include the photo of her signing the poster. There are only TWO in existence, that I know of. I will be keeping the other one.
