Gregg Kravitz to Debate Opponent Thursday, April 29
(Bummer most of the GLBT community will either be participating in “Dining out for Life” or at the CCBO Northeast Regional Summit Welcome Reception hosted by the Independent Business Association. The picture below was taken last week at their monthly reception where GLBT biz peeps get together to network.)
Democratic candidate for the 182d state legislative seat, Gregg Kravitz, will debate incumbent opponent, Babette Josephs, who last week was named the Huffington Post’s “Most Disappointing Democrat of the Week” due to her comments about Kravitz.
The Candidate Forum, hosted by the Center City Resident’s Association and moderated by Center City District President Paul Levy, marks the first time the candidates have shared a stage and discussed the issues. The event is open to the public and members of the media will have the opportunity to question the candidates during a 20 minute audience participation segment.
The candidates will be available for further questions following the formal portion of the debate.
Please join the candidates for this important forum:
WHEN: Thursday, April 29; 7pm – 9pm
WHERE: Gershman Y 401 S Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19147
*For those of you who have questions about Rep. Josephs’ comments and the events of last week, please see Gregg’s official response at http://www.greggkravitz.com/news/view_news.php?id=19#inthepress
Hughe’s Note: When I first met Gregg Kravitz at the Zarwin NCAA Party, he declared himself to be bisexual. I don’t often here that term used with men. He said he wasn’t currently dating anyone just focusing on his run for office. Then last week when he spoke to the IBA he declared nothing, but to say it will be good to have a friend representing the GLBT at the table. That was the day before Babette’s remarks hit the airway. Interesting enough I hear it was he who got the word out there all the way into the Huffington Post. Kudo’s for PR & Marketing. That’s the way to pitch.
