Last month Rum Bar got itself a new chef. According toPhila Grubstreet,
You may be familiar with their Happy hour which is 7 days a week, 5 – 7PM or their late night crowd hanging out at the bar, but Rum Bar also has a restaurant that serves Latin inspired food.
Last night I attended a press dinner at Rum Bar, to meet the new chef and try out the new menu during a tasting. (The dishes are a quarter of the size if they were served normally.) Basically I thought everything was delicious, and I look forward to returning for full size meals.

Chef Luis and Adam have been testing dishes for their flavor and presentation, and thought it would be a good idea to take pictures of all the dishes and put them up on the frig so everyone can see how they should be presented. Very clever.
Thom Cardwell, writer/Dev Director of Cinefest and owner of Rum Bar Adam Kanter celebrate the end of a good meal. Adam and I touched on the recently held Rum Fest. He tells me that it’s returning to Octo again this year, but he will have a few more surprises and upgrades. Check out the entire menu on FooBooz
