EVERY LITTLE GIRL DREAMS OF THAT SPECIAL DAY

EVERY LITTLE GIRLS DREAM OF THAT SPECIAL DAYBut this day was reserved for Brianna D’Amico as she wed her beau Joshua Alcorn
at St. Thomas of Villanova Chapel on the campus of Villanova University.
Josh, 30, (originally from Wilmington, De) works in Washington as the finance director for Friends for Harry Reid, the re-election campaign of Senator Harry Reid, Democrat of Nevada, who is the majority leader. Previously he worked for Joe Biden on his campaign for President. Brianna is the marketing director for the Windows Catering Company of Alexandria, Va. She graduated from Marymount University in Arlington, Va.
Her brother Nick D’Amico (right) walked her down the aisle and walked up the aisle with his mom Lisa Gaudio and step-dad Jimmy Kazanjian.
Katharine James designed Brianna’s engagement ring and wedding bands ! And Joe Obermiller created something special out of Josh’s fathers ring (the late Mark A. Alcorn), and made them into an amazing custom ring for his wedding day .
The reception was held at the Radnor Hotel
At the Radnor Hotel reception there was a framed letter from Vice President Biden congratulating the couple, and a mysterious blue gift box with the Presidential seal on it. Of course this isn’t it, this is the gorgeous place setting. WOW
The bride is a granddaughter of Bob Gaudio, an original member of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons greets the bride for the first time since the wedding, at the reception in the garden of the Radnor Hotel. A very special moment. Maria Papadakis and I went together. We were taking notes for her wedding next year (did I mention I’m her man of honor?)
The Bride’s mother helped with the decorations at the reception,
picking out many vintage tea pots, cups and saucers used as the center pieces. I think they look gorgeous and she’s found another career.
The cake was given to the couple by Gus Isgro as a wedding gift! In front of Isgro bakery is where Josh popped the question to Brianna on Christmas Eve morning. See my write up here:
Brianna Danielle D’Amico and Joshua Mark Alcorn take their first dance as Mr and Mrs Joshua Alcorn.
Close siblings, Brianna and her brother Nick share a dance normally reserved for Father and Daughter. Brianna would go on to dance with her step dad Jimmy, and grandfather Bob Gaudio.
Lisa Gaudio Kazanjian reminisces the years gone by and as her two kids dance. Just last year Lisa had her fairy tale wedding to Kazanjian.
He is the son of Bridget K. Wilson of Wilmington, Del., and the late Mark A. Alcorn, and the stepson of Barry W. Wilson. The bridegroom’s mother teaches the third grade at the Pennwood Elementary School in West Chester, Pa. I wish I could remember the song they were dancing to here, it was very poignant.
Lisa and Jimmy, with Lisa’s step-mom Judy and dad Bob Gaudio
No garter belt here; the boys had to catch a football
The girls were still traditional with the bouquet. Guess who caught it, the little girl in the front who in the beginning of this entry was dreaming of her big day. Gawd knows we don’t really want it to be next. In another unplanned moment, the placing of the garter on the catcher of the bouquet was passed and the guests returned to dancing.
Nancy Becker and Pam Derderian and daughter Kali Becker. Philly girls Nancy and Pam , co-founders and principal partners of “15 Minutes” celebrate 27 years as biz partners this year, and a little longer as partner
Morgan McLoud and her mom Diva McLoud (or at least that’s what her mom told me her name was), is getting married next year to her beau Bobby Pette. The destination wedding will be in Italy, with wedding and brides maids dresses done by friend Project Runway winner Christian Siriano. Taking a page from Kris Humphries all Bobby cares about is the music selection, hoping to hear some Toby Keith on the dance floor, especially “Red Solo Cup.”
And they lived happily ever after….
