A Philadelphia non-profit committed to art based on real life experiences, including live storytelling, theater, film, and more is what you will find when you go to a First Person Arts monthly event.
The evening also features the presentation of the first Vicki Solot Fund
for Creative Innovation Award, bestowed to an emerging artist or
organization for groundbreaking work in memoir or documentary art. The
award is named in honor of First Person Arts’ founder and former
Executive Director, Vicki Solot, who retired in late 2011 after
launching First Person Arts in 2000.
Eric Asimov, chief wine critic for The New York Times, will share remarks with us and discuss his new book, How to Love Wine: A Memoir and Manifesto, over a dinner created by Bamba Konate, the Omni’s Executive Chef, with a special wine pairing by Eric with Rick Nichols, Food Writer for the Philadelphia Inquirer

First Person Arts will donate a portion of the proceeds from the upcoming Festival performance of PHILLY REACTS to Red Cross Hurricane Relief.
PHILLY REACTS is a new program from First Person Arts where local
artists respond to the compelling news and current events of the moment.
We think its a vital that the artistic community rally together to
support those affected by Hurricane Sandy.
