CHIP ROMAN HAS A SWEET FUTURE AS HE LAUNCHES

Saturday night I ran into Chef Chip Roman, Mica and Blackfish at ACHIEVEability’s annual event Food for Thought Fundraiser at the Navy Yard. Read more about that great event as well as what Chef Marcie Turney and Valerie Safran are up to with their new restaurant in my PhillyMag column today HERE

At the end of the night, Chef Chip Roman for the first time presented a sampling of his new candy collection called Bluestone to the guests at the event.

It was delicious and it will be available starting July 1 online.

Chef Marcie Turney gives it a taste and said welcome to the market, as she has her on line Marcie Blaine Chocolates available at several of their stores on 13th Street (here with Phoebe Easmon)

Chef consultant Madison Alpern enjoys a piece as Chef Jen Carroll wonders when she’ll get a piece.

Bluestone is the marble that you use to make chocolate on and that’s how he named the candy line.  I wonder if that is used for art too as there’s a Blue Stone Gallery in Old City?
