right-hander Michael Stutes was optioned to the minor leagues;
outfielder Delmon Young was placed on the major league disabled list,
retroactive to March 22 (right ankle surgery).

The Philadelphia Flyers have acquired 6-4, 205-lb defenseman Kent Huskins
from the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for a conditional pick in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft,
according to general manager Paul Holmgren.
Huskins, 33 (5/4/1979), played in 11 games for the Red Wings this
season, as well as two games with the Norfolk Admirals of the American
Hockey League. Huskins has appeared in 310 NHL games for Detroit, St.
Louis, San Jose and Anaheim over parts of seven
NHL seasons, scoring 13 goals and adding 54 assists for 67 points.
