Greater Media/WMMR/WMGK/BenFM & 97.5 Back to the ’80s Party Plus The Largest Simon You’ve Ever Seen & Brad Pitt

Yesterday afternoon I attended the Greater Media’s Annual friends and clients party. I’m a huge fan of all the personalities on their radio station so I was excited to get a chance to meet them, as well as seeing some of my friends that work there. Plus the theme was my favorite ’80s.

(PS Please don’t take the photos off for 72 hrs, but instead link to the post til then. Thanks. Have a great weekend)

What a great afternoon, from the decorations, to the hospitality, to the food from Cescaphe catering, the event was spectacular.

The Dukes of Hazards cars

When you first walk in their was a step and repeat with all the radio stations as well as your opportunity to pose with some of your fav DJ’s. I was so excited to meet Debbi Calton, (WMGK Midday)who told me she reads me everyday, which when I hear that I’m really humbled. Plus Preston Elliott of Preston & Steve fame.

One of the best decorations were the photos of the employees from the 80’s; That’s Debbi Calton top right. So fun.

The largest Simon machine in Philadelphia. Created by 3 staff members of Greater Media. First they tried to buy a little Simon from Ebay, but those things are $80 now. So Steve Myers put a call out on his FB and his neighbor gave him one. They built a base, wired each pad and had the current conduct through tinfoil to light up each pad. (don’t try this at home kids) I did inquire on behalf of the Geek Awards to try and get this for the awards ceremony Saturday, August 17

This game was just amazing, and a crowd pleaser.
WOW on these decorations. What a great bar.
Allison, Donna Gallagher and Megan. Thank you thank you thank you Donna who saved me lots of time after the party. You see I rented a car to attend the party at the last minute cause I just didn’t have time to catch a bus. After the party I couldn’t remember what the car looked like, and where I parked it. Donna drove me around the parking lot where I thought I parked it, but it turned out I parked it in a different lot, the one behind the building. Did I mention it was raining when I looked for it for the first 20 minutes, yes and I was carrying a few Rubik Cubes poster. Nightmare. So thanks Donna for coming to my rescue.

I had a great time playing asteroids & centipede
