What a whirlwind of a week. 3 columns in Philly.com, 2 columns in PhillyMag, 8 posts on PhillyChitChat.com and 2 appearances on Fox 29’s Good Day Philadelphia, crazy fun. Thank you so much to my tipsters (It’s Always Sunny in Philly, and the peeps who told me about where The Rolling Stones party was, if you didn’t catch me on Fox today, I’ll have more details of their stay in Monday’s PCC entry. The Jimmy Rollins Family Foundation held their 3rd annual event last night. For the past two years it was held at the Constitution Center, but this year Johari and Jimmy Rollins (with daughter Camryn) went for a more intimate, 1920’s supper club atmosphere,
cigar smoking, food from the period. The night was a homerun as soon as I walked through the door it was as if I
were transported back in time. The best part nearly all of their guests
embraced the idea and came dressed as if they had the secret password to
a speakeasy.

is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that aims to support young adults
living with chronic health issues, as well as to support families who
are struggling financially with extracurricular activities for their

The Rollins Family Foundation also has a program where
each January, the shortstop visits one of top performing elementary
schools alongside with the Phillie Phanatic to speak to the students
about the importance of reading and to encourage their efforts. It’s
called the”Be A Phanatic About Reading” Program
