Pixs: ADA The Father of the Year Awards 2014

The Regional Father of the Year Awards Dinners are hosted in 35 cities
across the country in collaboration between the American Diabetes
Association and the National Father’s Day Council. The regional
councils in each city are comprised of volunteer community leaders who
strive to heighten the meaning of fatherhood, while raising funds for
philanthropic purposes.

 On May 29, 2014, the American Diabetes Association in Philadelphia held The Father of the Year Awards 2014 at the Marriott Downtown. The purpose of the evening is to raise funds for diabetes research,
education, and advocacy and to recognize outstanding fathers for their
contributions to their family, profession and community. Since 2000
the Fathers’ Day Council and the American Diabetes Association have
partnered to raise over $35 million for the American Diabetes

 The Philadelphia chapter was honoring four notable dads, no one more excited to be a dad than Craig Spitzer, Chief Executive Officer a2c, who’s son Royce just turned 1 a few weeks ago. With him are his wife Erin Elmore, and good friend Gary DeVito, Zarwin Baum
Kevin Boyle, Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young, LLP and Mary Pat Kessler – Reviepients of the ADA “Outstanding Leadership Award” in recognition of their commitment to creating a world free of diabetes and its burdens. With them is the new Executive Director at American Diabetes Association of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey – Ann Meredith.
