The Gaping Hole on East Passyunk Ave is being Readied for Construction, and Rental (Formerly Known as the Scarduzio Project)

The former Scarduzio East Passyunk Restaurant Project (1646 S 12th St) seems to be back on track

after Scarduzio decided to pull back the reigns on his career and walk away from Avance, Mia and this project on East Passyunk Ave, to focus more on his family and a better quality of life close to where he lives in Chester County (He’s now at the helm of  Tecca at 191 Newtown Street in Newtown Square), the project seems to be back on track.

That left a big gaping hole at 1646 S 12th St as they had knocked down the existing building in anticipation of the project. 
Although technically not on East Passyunk, it’s a corner spot at a angular point where East Passyunk is right across the street.
Today Michael Salove Realty released the new sketches for the building that will be built on the site, as well the potential restaurant that will occupy the ground floor.
