Party Pixs: Chamber Orchestra 50th Anniversary concert Champagne Toast & Mother’s Day Concert Info

The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia hosted a pre-concert
champagne toast reception last night, a few days before their Mother’s Day 50th Anniversary concert, to
reveal the 2015/16 season

at Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. 
Maestro Dirk Brossé said the new season will focus
on different styles, and genres. There will be new ideas, wild ideas and
exciting new music for modern times, while still respecting and performing the
classics.
 Janelle McCoy, Executive Director at The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, Dr. Martin Heyworth and Martha Hitchins, Principal plays the Timpani.
 Andrew Lipke, a Philadelphia based, South African born multi-instrumentalist and composer active in the Philadelphia Chamber Orchestra creating new, innovative works and Dirk Brossé Music Director of The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia. He’s energized for a new season directing the classics, but also introducing new works to the Philadelphia audience.
 Michael Stiles, Development & Education Associate of PCO and Kevin Gifford, Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance.

 Susan Schwartz McDonald, Ph.D. President of the Board of Directors toasted
to the grand history of the orchestra, its staying power and spoke to the exciting
future that lies ahead introducing the Chamber Orchestra to a new audience, and
delighting the current concert goers.
