Last week was the Friends of Rittenhouse Square Ball, as well as the Young Friends Party to raise funds for out much beloved square.
I ran the “adults” in Philly Mag online, and missed my Philly.com deadline cause that’s how things go sometimes when time is limited on a Friday. Anyway I put a few on PhillyChitChat today and a few I held back may appear in the August Philly Magazine, so do me a favor and don’t take these photos off or you’ll make my job really easy, so send your friends to PhillyChitChat.com to see the photos, and then maybe you’ll be in Philly Mag in August. Thanks
At around 8:30 p.m., I headed over to The Stotesbury Mansion at 1923 Walnut Street for the Young Friends of Rittenhouse Square Ball party.
It’s a lovely mansion, which is now event space. I really like the space too. I believe the ticket price for the Young Friends is $150, which gets you an open bar, a buffet, music by a DJ and a good time; At 10:30PM the YF’s join the main tented party in the Square for dancing to Eddie Bruce Orchestra and debauchery as only a YF can get into after a 3 hr open bar. It’s always fun when the YF’s pour into the square at the bewitching hour, similar to the straightline winds we experienced the other night. An influx of energy for the last third of the night. But first let’s check out the YF’s soiree…
Matt Walseben, Shamrock Kennedy, Katie Pellecchia and Jenna Pellecchia at the Young Friends of the Friends of Rittenhouse Square Gala at the The Stotesbury Mansion.
Lou Vogel and Stef Searles at the Young Friends of the Friends of Rittenhouse Square Gala at the The Stotesbury Mansion.
VaVaVa Voom Ilana Waber and Alexander Hankin at the Young Friends of the Friends of Rittenhouse Square Gala at the The Stotesbury Mansion. These two philanthropic beauties made the young friends of Rittenhouse society what it was starting 6 years ago; now they’ve ventured out to NYC and the Hamptons to make their mark there. When they return no doubt they’ll be on the marriage track.
Nikoleta Tzaferos, Alexia Tsikouras, and Eleni Kitsios at the Young Friends of the Friends of Rittenhouse Square Gala at the The Stotesbury Mansion. Fans of all things PhillyChitChat they told me, have a 100 percent chance of making the magazine in August.
Jeff Palumbo, Julie Terrana, Katie McHale and Kevin McHale at the Young Friends of the Friends of Rittenhouse Square Gala at the The Stotesbury Mansion.
There was an extensive silent auction with golf outings, and two tickets to the Academy Ball which sold for $700, a steal!! The auction tables were definitely a buzz of excitement as folks hovered around their favored items they wanted to call their own.
David Alexander Jenkins was on the scene. He of a long line of social, philanthropic Philadelphian’s who splits his time between the Mainline, Rittenhouse Square, NYC and Europe. Just Monday he was hanging at the St. Regis Hotel (in NYC) with Strictly Social’s Elise Truppay Ratcliffe,
when Lady Gaga passed his way.
Oh these ladies can have their photo. I didn’t get their names. They do look marvelous, but it’s nearly impossible to collect the names of a group any larger than 4 or 5, no one wants to stay that long for me to write them down. But it is a lovely photo and I do run these in Philly.com, under “guests are enjoying themselves at…”
Megan Heaton and Domenick Salvatore, who swept her off her feet….
Check out Philly Mag HERE for the photos from the “adult” party in the Square.
