July 4th Weekend – A Pictorial

Oh sorry this week was so busy I didn’t have time do a proper July 4th entry. Here’s a pictorial of shots I took last week.

Somewhere in Clayton, NJ. I stopped on the road and shot this patriotic scene.

A nice crowd showed up

From all walks of life
The Liberty Bell Pavilion commemorates the walk.
There’s Wanda Sykes with her maroon umbrella. She’s sitting in front of the Philly Gay Men’s Chorus.

Michele Ventura and Maggie Hayes with Jim Obergefell, who was a plaintiff in
Obergefell v. Hodges (the historic Supreme Court decision on June 26,
2015 declaring the constitutional right to nationwide same-sex
marriage).
There’s a movie in the works about his battle to get equal rights. Sadly his husband passed away of Lou Gerig’s disease before seeing the triumphant outcome.

Edie Windsor chatting with Amanda Simpson, Executive Director of the U.S. Army Office of Energy,

I had a lot of good friends that stopped by our 20th July 4th Party including my friend Alex Holley and her parents. Always to see them, I see them more than my own family.
