You may have
heard buzz about a national hip-hop competition that was in search of
the hottest unsigned hip-hop talent in the country. After wrapping
up the local run in South Florida earlier this year, Jack’N for Beats is back with its national competition. This time, there’s even more at
stake with $10,000 and a studio session with DJ Khaled on the line.
Last Saturday Jack’N for Beats brought their 18 by 24 ft mobile trailer to Mitchell & Ness on 12th Street in order to audition rappers who wanted to make it to the next level, win some cash and possibly get a record deal somewhere along the line. When I arrived the line was around the corner, and included some of Philly’s most talented rappers including South Philly Sheed and friends.
