Tyra Banks Is Living A FabLife and she wants you to Live it Too. She was in town last week and took #Selfies with the press

Last week Tyra Banks swept into town to promote the new magazine show she produces and stars on, called the FabLife which debuts today at 2PM on 6abc. She promises it’ll be different than anything you’ve seen on TV, and she has a team of co-hosts which will help her bring it.

At the press junket, I was joined by an esteemed panel of journalists and friends. We were all invited to interview the fabulous Tyra Banks and one of her co-hosts Lauren Makk at a round table (that’s what it’s called), interview which would be about 15 minutes long. The ladies were much more generous with their time and even posed for selfies with each of us. At the Round Table: Bryan Buttler, Philly mag, Kristin Detterline, Philly Style Mag, Jenny DeHuff, Philly Daily News and Money Love, Boom 107.9 Philly who in a past life hung with Tyra Banks and they had a very lively fun conversation.

Tyra got into the FabLife stylist mode and created a new ‘do for Jenny DeHuff. On today’s show there’s a fabulous make over of an unsuspecting waitress, and it is fabulous.
Tyra will be joined by four lifestyle experts  who represent different areas of expertise. Chrissy Teigen, the model and “Lip Sync Battle” host has a huge social media following and is married to sexy singer John Legend (Love her, and him. He wrote “All of Me” for her.) , will serve as “FABLife’s” culinary expert; Joe Zee, who currently holds the post of Yahoo Style’s editor in-chief, is the show’s resident fashionista; interior designer Lauren Makk brings home design to the table; and do-it-yourself YouTube star Leah Ashley is ready to introduce digitally savvy audiences to DIY projects.

Lauren used to live in Fairmount a few years back. She loves the arts, the outdoor sculptures and the people of Philly. It’s truly the City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection she told us.
Tyra is an expert at the #Selfie. I’m looking forward to the show, not only because it’s going to be informative, but the ladies got on so well together, laughing and sharing stories of a life of friendship. In fact Lauren did the interior design for Tyra Banks’ house. I asked two questions, of course I asked Lauren about her weight loss since I’m so obsessed with mine. She told me she had the bypass surgery in 2002, but of course it’s still a struggle today. She’ll share with us those stories of the struggle, and at some points the panel join together for the different segments. We can look forward to Chrissy cooking up healthy meals that Lauren suggests.

Tyra told me that the show was going to be taped a few days before airing. I do love live shows, but with a taped show it’s easy to edit enhancements, photos and other tidbits that were discussed during the taping, especially showing a make over or room decor. Tune into 6abc today and check out the FabLife, I’ve already set up the DVR so I don’t miss a minute.
Today’s show is a real tear jerker make over. I love this show. So fun!!
Check out the interview 6abc’s Alicia Vitarelli did with Tyra and Lauren.
