Les Dames d’Escoffier Philadelphia Celebrate

Earlier this month a few good dames* gathered for their annual cocktail party to nosh and discuss a few upcoming celebrations including one that takes place next week – the 35 Years of the Philadelphia Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier Philadelphia. The event to take place on Tue, April 30, 2019, 6:00 PM EDT will be held at Paradiso Restaurant on East Passyunk. The event is open to the public, and tickets are $75. It’s a great way to get acquainted with them women who delight our taste buds and work in the local food industry.


Les Dames d’Escoffier International (LDEI) proudly carries the name of Auguste Escoffier (1846 – 1935), the most innovative chef in history. Known as “The Chef of Kings and The King of Chefs,” Escoffier’s philosophy, accomplishments and philanthropic deeds still serve as both a model and inspiration to culinary professionals today.

The Mission: Les Dames d’Escoffier International is a philanthropic organization of women leaders in the fields of food, fine beverage and hospitality. The by-invitation membership, composed of over 2,400 members in 42 chapters in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France and Mexico, is highly diversified and reflects the multifaceted fields of contemporary gastronomy and hospitality.

In September the Les Dames d’Escoffier Philadelphia will celebrate the Fourth Annual Heritage Farm Dinner on September 15th at Bartram’s Garden! This year’s event will proudly recognize Ellen Yin, our 2019 Outstanding in Her Field honoree. The event is a wonderful moment on a working farm, where guests enjoy the bountiful of the last harvest with meals prepared by the local members of Les Dames d’Escoffier Philadelphia. Tickets & Info
