What did the Rolling Stones Do while in Philly for nearly a WEEK! Plus Queer Eye Guys are everywhere, Sally Field is Finally Here.
OK I promised my sources I wouldn’t publish stories on the Stones until after they check out of their hotel as it seems everyone reads PhillyChitChat and they already had fans hanging outside the Rittenhouse Hotel all week, which is why I am publishing this at 4pm. If you’re a celebrity you don’t have to check out by noon.
While Mick was in town he got a lot of food satisfaction, often ordering from local restaurants to deliver, head out to dinner with family members, or order room service from the hotel. He was spotted at dining out twice. Monday night a reader of mine sent me this photo of Mick Jagger, 76 dining with his 32 year old girlfriend, Melanie Hamrick, a ballerina with the American Ballet Theater at Stephen Starr’s Talula’s Garden across from Washington Square. This is a favorite spot of Beyonce and Jay-z’s when they come to town. Tuesday after the concert at the Linc, most of the band members were spotted at Scarpetta, the restaurant inside the Rittenhouse Hotel, except for Keith Richards and Mick . Last night (Wednesday) the entire band except Keith Richards, dined at Morimoto, another Starr Restaurant.
Ronnie Wood, 72 and his wife Sally Humphries, 39 headed there from their hotel The Logan to join the band about 10PM. There’s no beef between the Stones and Ronnie, it’s just a personal preference that Wood like’s the Logan. Ronnie was super friendly at the hotel, and signed and posed for fans.
Before dinner Mick Jagger headed to the Barnes Museum for a private tour about 5:30pm. Jagger’s seventh child, Lucas Maurice Morad Jagger, age 20 accompanied him. Mick posed for a photo with staff, but I guess his son Lucas was camera shy. Then he went back to the Rittenhouse around 7PM, before heading out to dinner for a 10PM reservation dinner with the band and managers. On this particular night, the caravan of cars were less than the normal 10 car detail that followed them to the restaurant, and as elusive as ever Mick went in the backdoor while the others used the front door. Unfortunately for the fans that waited outside the Rittenhouse Hotel all week, no one got any autographs or photos.
There’s been few sightings of the fab 5 in Philadelphia, than Jason Segel or even Mick Jagger, but in the past two days we’ve had 3 sightings. Tan Francis was out and about with his beau in Old City, while Queer Eye food and wine specialist Antoni Porowski was spotted filming a segment for the show Wednesday afternoon at the the popular Queen Village restaurant Cry Baby. The restaurant was full of locals acting as extras, who dined along side them. No word on what they ate as everything is top secret, but I hear the pasta is good. In this photo is owner Bridget Foy. and her parents Bernadette and John. Antoni spent the weekend with his BFF Gigi Hadid and her sister Bella Hadid at their mother’s Yolanda Hadid’s farm in New Hope, who’s neighbor is Zac Posen, his family owns a farm in Bucks County as well.
Earlier this week Queer Eye filmed at The Duke Barber Company at 1530 Locust St, with the shows hairdresser Jonathan van Ness.
Then today koryaversa spotted Queer Eye’s Jonathan in No Libs at the Philadelphia Barber Company ( 1106 N Front St)! When you stop for a quick hair cut and @jvn stops by to say hi! He was so nice and said he liked my beard! I heard he stopped into Love and Honey nearby for lunch (1100 No Front Street) where he ordered chicken fingers, spicy slaw, cornbread with honey and 2 cookies. Sounds delicious.
Dispatches from Elsewhere is filming at 2nd and Market again tonight, inside Stephen Starr’s Continental restaurant. In tonight’s scene will be Jason Segel, Sally Field, who was seen walking down Chestnut Street yesterday carrying a Whole Foods bag, and Andre 3000.
Andre was spotted playing his flute at a Starbucks in Old City. On that note I’m off to get ready for the Philly Style Magazine party. Check back with me Monday for all the glitz and glamour as the magazine celebrates it’s 20th Anniversary!! In the meantime check out Eagles Safety Malcolm Jenkins Hosts Hennessy Paradis Imperial Tasting At Damari Saville with friends.
