Travolta, Concrete Cowboys, Jimmy Fallon Films in Philly, Yolanda Hadid & Lexie Norcross Have Something in Common

I’m so glad my Idris Elba on a horse filming Concrete Cowboys photo was published last week, cause the John Travolta “The Fanatic” media blitz on nearly every outlet was the real deal today. Danny Zuko was everywhere, so much so that he was trending in Philly for his appearances as much as nationally for his appearance on Jimmy Fallon last night. Travolta flew his own plane into Philly last night around 8PM, and headed to the new Four Season’s Hotel where he was spotted at JG SkyHigh, (I have a photo sent to me anonymously on my instagram). Earlier in the evening he taped an appearance on the Jimmy Fallon show, in NYC.

Interesting enough, Jimmy Fallon was spotted at the Ritz Carlton where Questlove did a piece in the lobby during the day about his upcoming new book: Mixtape Potluck Cookbook, which comes out October 15. Questlove imagines the ultimate potluck dinner party, inviting more than fifty chefs, entertainers, and musicians—such as Eric Ripert, Natalie Portman, and Q-Tip—and asking them to bring along their favorite recipes. Interesting choice of places to conduct the interview as Eric Ripert used to have a restaurant in the Ritz Carlton called 10 Arts, the address of the hotel. Questlove was spotted posing with fans on the steps as he exited.

Earlier this week the Daily Mail put up a photo of Yolanda Hadid and her new boyfriend and wanted to know who he was. I recognize him as he’s local. It’s Joseph R. He’s a philanthropist. She has now confirmed it as well. They’ve been super low key, I saw them in March, but was asked not to write about it, and I didn’t until now. Also now that her ex David Foster, has gotten married, she probably wants people to know she’s happy as well.

After posting my breaking celebrity news the other day, someone sent me this photo of Lexie Norcross, owner & publisher of Philly Voice. (Here’s a great article on Jingoli) Lexie used to date Joe Jingoli. Thanks to my buddy Thom Carroll who took this photo of the happy couple at the Cooper Hospital Red Hot Gala, and best of luck to him in his new adventure. Also Sabrina Tamburino Thorne dropped me a note and vouched that Joey is a great guy. Happy to hear Yolanda Hadid has found love again.

Concrete Cowboys (formerly titled Ghetto Cowboy, based on the book) continues to film in North Philly, this time in the Strawberry Mansion area. Thanks to the anonymous photographer of these photos, she told me that a lot of the neighbors are extras on the set, and everyone is very nice. They’re happy the story is being told. On the left is Caleb McLaughlin , from Stranger Things, who’s be spotted around Philly and has signed autographs and has posed for photos. On the right is Jharrel Jerome . Concrete Cowboys has about 2 more weeks of filming left, and if being shot by a local company Neighborhood Film founded by Ricky Staub, who is also directing Concrete Cowboys.
